Basically, you just need to show a Driver's license and occasionally will need to let them make a copy of your passport. Generally I have seen a 2-3k PHP deposit that gets returned to you. I will say they tend to charge much more for the daily rates than if you would rent monthly which is to be expected but it seems as though it's more than that of the neighboring countries.
