Description: I am super excited to finally have my mill all set up in my garage! So I put aside all my other projects to machine this round-over hand plane. I kept it as simple as possible by cutting everything from one solid block of aluminum. I would make the gripper from a different material so they would last much longer than laser-cut Delrin. I'm thinking ~$20 a kit, but that could come down a lot with volume. Please comment below if that interests you at all.*** I made this gripper and demo board to accompany a talk on flexures that I plan to give at the Hackaday Superconference 2019. At the store, they loaded it into my Honda Element with a forklift. At home, I was able to unload it by myself with some tailgate ramps and a big ratchet strap. The whole process felt very safe and controlled, and did not require too much 💪. (Also, it's so cool to use the cargo capacity of the Honda Element!) </video>
