Using comprehensive data, standardised across England, information on child deaths is collated to ensure that deaths are learned from, that learning is widely shared and that actions are taken, locally and nationally, to reduce the number of children who die. The latest NCMD thematic report (https://www.ncmd.info/publications/child-death-learning-disability-autism/) focusses on deaths of children with learning disabilities and autistic children aged 4-17 years, with learnings on how they can be prevented. In this webinar, information from the report will be shared, alongside contributions from those close to the topic in lived experience and academic contexts. There will be an opportunity to ask the panel questions, with the aim of increasing awareness of the causes of, and ways to prevent deaths of children with learning disabilities and autistic children. </video> <video> Webinar | Working with dads and male carers to support a whole family approach Description: To support babies, children and young people, there needs to be a whole family approach. Over recent years there has been a recognition that more needs to be done to work with dads and male carers in supporting families.
