There are two smart valves designed for UK domestic water systems, a standard version for balanced high pressure systems and a pumped version for low pressure gravity fed systems. The smart valve can be located up to 10 metres away from the shower and is suitable for wall or floor mounting, for example in the loft airing cupboard or under a bag. The hot and cold inlets are clearly indicated by the coloured stickers. 15 millimetre push fit isolation valves are supplied for fast and easy connection. A copper pipe is preferred to optimise performance, minimise the number of elbows used. The valve can be used for up to two outlets. These can be a combination of hand showers, bath fillers and overhead showers. The smart valve comes with A2 metre cable. We recommend this is wired into a three amp fuse spur. By removing the lid of the smart valve, you can adjust the maximum temperature between 35 and 55°. Once this is set, the shower will not exceed this temperature.
