My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it. 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚 Efesios 3, 2-3a. 5-6 Hermanos: Han oído hablar de la distribución de la gracia de Dios, que se me ha confiado en favor de ustedes. Por revelación se me dio a conocer este misterio, que no había sido manifestado a los hombres en otros tiempos, pero que ha sido revelado ahora por el Espíritu a sus santos apóstoles y profetas: es decir, que por el Evangelio, también los paganos son coherederos de la misma herencia, miembros del mismo cuerpo y partícipes de la misma promesa en Jesucristo. Entonces Herodes llamó en secreto a los magos, para que le precisaran el tiempo en que se les había aparecido la estrella y los mandó a Belén, diciéndoles: “Vayan a averiguar cuidadosamente qué hay de ese niño y, cuando lo encuentren, avísenme para que yo también vaya a adorarlo”. Después de oír al rey, los magos se pusieron en camino, y de pronto la estrella que habían visto surgir, comenzó a guiarlos, hasta que se detuvo encima de donde estaba el niño. Al ver de nuevo la estrella, se llenaron de inmensa alegría. Entraron en la casa y vieron al niño con María, su madre, y postrándose, lo adoraron. En él he puesto mi espíritu para que haga brillar la justicia sobre las naciones. No gritará, no clamará, no hará oír su voz por las calles; no romperá la caña resquebrajada, ni apagará la mecha que aún humea. Promoverá con firmeza la justicia, no titubeará ni se doblegará hasta haber establecido el derecho sobre la tierra y hasta que las islas escuchen su enseñanza. El Señor ha levantado su sentencia contra ti, ha expulsado a todos tus enemigos. El Señor será el rey de Israel en medio de ti y ya no temerás ningún mal. Aquel día dirán a Jerusalén: “No temas, Sión, que no desfallezcan tus manos. El Señor, tu Dios, tu poderoso salvador, está en medio de ti. Él se goza y se complace en ti; él te ama y se llenará de júbilo por tu causa, como en los días de fiesta”. 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚 Flp 4, 4-7 Hermanos míos: Alégrense siempre en el Señor; se lo repito: ¡alégrense! Que la benevolencia de ustedes sea conocida por todos. El Señor está cerca. Por eso, el Señor abandonará a Israel, mientras no dé a luz la que ha de dar a luz. Entonces el resto de sus hermanos se unirá a los hijos de Israel. Él se levantará para pastorear a su pueblo con la fuerza y la majestad del Señor, su Dios. Ellos habitarán tranquilos, porque la grandeza del que ha de nacer llenará la tierra y él mismo será la paz’’. 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚 Heb 10, 5-10 Hermanos: Al entrar al mundo, Cristo dijo, conforme al salmo: No quisiste víctimas ni ofrendas; en cambio, me has dado un cuerpo. No te agradaron los holocaustos ni los sacrificios por el pecado; entonces dije –porque a mí se refiere la Escritura–: “Aquí estoy, Dios mío; vengo para hacer tu voluntad”. Fiesta de la Sagrada Familia 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒂 𝑳𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂 Sir 3, 3-7. 14-17a El Señor honra al padre en los hijos y respalda la autoridad de la madre sobre la prole. El que honra a su padre queda limpio de pecado; y acumula tesoros, el que respeta a su madre. Quien honra a su padre, encontrará alegría en sus hijos y su oración será escuchada; el que enaltece a su padre, tendrá larga vida y el que obedece al Señor, es consuelo de su madre. Hijo, cuida de tu padre en la vejez y en su vida no le causes tristeza; aunque se debilite su razón, ten paciencia con él y no lo menosprecies por estar tú en pleno vigor. El bien hecho al padre no quedará en el olvido y se tomará a cuenta de tus pecados. 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚 Col 3, 12-21 Hermanos: Puesto que Dios los ha elegido a ustedes, los ha consagrado a él y les ha dado su amor, sean compasivos, magnánimos, humildes, afables y pacientes. Sopórtense mutuamente y perdónense cuando tengan quejas contra otro, como el Señor los ha perdonado a ustedes. Y sobre todas estas virtudes, tengan amor, que es el vínculo de la perfecta unión. Que en sus corazones reine la paz de Cristo, esa paz a la que han sido llamados, como miembros de un solo cuerpo. Finalmente, sean agradecidos. Que la palabra de Cristo habite en ustedes con toda su riqueza. Enséñense y aconséjense unos a otros lo mejor que sepan. Cuando el niño cumplió doce años, fueron a la fiesta, según la costumbre. Pasados aquellos días, se volvieron, pero el niño Jesús se quedó en Jerusalén, sin que sus padres lo supieran. Creyendo que iba en la caravana, hicieron un día de camino; entonces lo buscaron, y al no encontrarlo, regresaron a Jerusalén en su busca. Al tercer día lo encontraron en el templo, sentado en medio de los doctores, escuchándolos y haciéndoles preguntas. Todos los que lo oían se admiraban de su inteligencia y de sus respuestas. Al verlo, sus padres se quedaron atónitos y su madre le dijo: “Hijo mío, ¿por qué te has portado así con nosotros? Tu padre y yo te hemos estado buscando llenos de angustia”. Él les respondió: “¿Por qué me andaban buscando? ¿No sabían que debo ocuparme en las cosas de mi Padre?” Ellos no entendieron la respuesta que les dio.
