It does require you to check that all of the ingredients are safe for food use, but I've made videos on that and it is pretty straightforward. If all the ingredients are in the FEMA database (or JECFA in the EU) you can use them to create a flavour. I found this recipe on a perfume supply company website, and everything all of the ingredients were approved for food use, so I decided to give it a try and see how it tasted.
