So against my better judgment I did crawl under the Oregon made RV to "see what I can do." However, it is very important to note that when the three slides are closed, it does get tight. Description: A few years ago, I built a teardrop trailer from the ground up and thought I made all the right choices. Unfortunately, even though I built a proto type first, I did not see how much space the cabinets I built would take from the useful living area. So I thought I would finally address the #1 problem and complaint every person that has viewed it has said, and re-design the cabinetry. I explain some of the reasons why I did what I did and why the re-model is difficult, but ultimately, I think the trailer is 120% better and more useful now. Description: This is part 2 follow up to the air dryer replacement video I did a few days ago. I try to explain the annoying problem I have had since I got the motorhome. While I never lost air pressure driving, I can say I noticed that filling my tires was very difficult as the engine air compressor never seem to kick in until system pressure was below 90 psi. So I first replaced the dryer and next decided to replace the air govenor only to find I needed to adjust the govenor too. While a beautiful luxury RV for sure, it does allow me to show a good solution to the peeling veneer that was common on these Marquis and the clouding of the finish clear coat on the cabinetry that was unfortunate. Description: About a month ago, I installed a Temgot 36VDC Lithium Iron Phosphate battery in a customer's golf cart and alluded to the possibility of making it a solar powered golf cart too. After working with the owner, they decided to let me experiment with building an array and using the good used Rich Solar panels I had and the same 2020 aluminum and brackets I had left over from another project to see if the concept would work on the cheap. While I did not show the build process of the array, I did make a video showing a build of a similar project. But this video will cover the performance of the array to more extreme use and I will point out a few things that work and a few work arounds and a few problems I found with connecting solar to the Temgot battery. Thanks for watching! </video> <video> Can I Save the Best Looking Luxury Vintage RV I Have Seen Yet!!?? Description: Today I am back at Integrity RV in Mesa, AZ. They sold what might be the best looking 2009 Beaver Marquis I have seen that looks nearly as good as it did 15 years ago when it was made. While the luxury and beauty shines, this is also on the last versions of the top tier Roadmaster chassis made by Monaco at the time. While groundbreaking in its design and build, the Kongsberg Multiplex system that was used is its weak point. Unfortunately, both the electronics company and Monaco soon went bankrupt after the release and the components became instantly orphaned without support which can make replacement parts and repair very difficult on these critical components. This 2009 Marquis on has 16k miles on it, but the smart steering wheel which controls the wipers, horn, and cruise control has become unresponsive at times while working at other times. I was asked to see what I could do to preserve this amazing luxury home on wheels, and while I intentionally would have replaced the clock spring I was hoping I would find that other Monaco owners were having a similar problem and found that someone had developed a very easy repair and wanted to share what I had learned from @Monacoers-kx1zb https://youtu.be/A2sy1EMV5-Y?si=knkSh6_QrgpzsD04 is a much faster and easier video from Eric Russell. I am very hopeful that the online and Monaco owner's group with help from Frank will be able to finally find a more durable solution to extend the life of these Kongsberg components as these Monaco diesel pushers from 2008 and 2009 set the bar higher than most modern luxury RVs are capable of and we can keep them on the road making wonderful memories.
