His coach, Joel Osborn, had nominated him for his positive impact on the community of Atchison, Kansas and beyond. Reed was honored at the All State Sugar Bowl in January 2023. Shortly after, he was recognized on the floor of the Kansas State House of Representatives. His year ended with praise and recognition at the 52nd Annual Benedictine College Scholarship Ball.
