The house uses white to stand out against nature or the neighborhood, a noble color that brings lightness to the eye. The house becomes a blank canvas to live various moments and stories, so that the house can become a home. For interior design, we follow the idea of minimalism, less is more! We use only what is necessary with simplicity, sobriety, and without exaggeration. This set of virtues sums up minimalist architecture. A house with a minimalist decor requires a meticulous attention to the choice of each element, which brings beauty to the environment. Inside this two-bedroom house we have a contemplative garden. For this we used some strategies to transform this small environment into a place of peace. We have an infinity pool that follows the level of the house, where it will become a waterfall for the garden. The sound of the waterfall brings peace and tranquility to the rooms of the house. The tree brings shade and freshness to the garden and we can only see the top of it in the social environment of the house (living rooms), a perfect place to place a wind chime. But this garden design is not only contemplative, it is an essential part for the temperature control of the house, the combination of the tree and the pool brings a lot of freshness to the interior of the integrated living room. In this garden the wind passes through the tree and the pool and enters through the large sliding doors in the integrated room, bringing fresh and humid air. This modern architecture was all planned to create spaces with plenty of natural light and ventilation to the interior. We used 2 strategies to achieve this: ✔ 2-skin facade hides the windows and also helps to control the temperature inside the house. ✔ Winter gardens, several rooms in the house have windows facing winter gardens, this ensures privacy and natural ventilation and lighting for the rooms. Yes, I am describing a tree, but I am also describing a house. This house is called "The Tree House" because we drew inspiration from the essence of a tree to create it. The house features a solid concrete base that extends above ground level, symbolizing the trunk of a tree and providing structural strength. The roof, on the other hand, is entirely made of wood, mimicking the branches of a tree. Wood, being a lightweight material, brings comfort and coziness to the living spaces. For the leaves, we have a beautiful green roof that, just like a tree, helps regulate the temperature inside the house. The Tree House is designed to adapt to any type of terrain, whether it's nestled on a mountainside or set on a flat field. With its 360-degree panoramic view, the house seamlessly integrates modern living spaces with the surrounding landscape. Access to the house is through a central staircase block, ingeniously designed to accommodate water tanks and the entire solar panel battery system. As we ascend the stairs, we are greeted by the breathtaking view of the house's surroundings. The social area of the house, comprising the living room, kitchen, and dining room, is divided by a "courtyard" that leads to an infinity pool extending into the landscape. At the center of it all, paying homage to the concept of the house, stands a tree, providing additional shade and enhancing temperature control. The Tree House also features balconies in every room, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding nature. Access to the bedrooms is through a corridor with floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass ceiling, offering glimpses of the sky indoors. The house includes two bedrooms with walk-in closets, including a master bedroom with a closet and a small workspace. Not in this house! In this loft the container is the highlight! With two 40ft containers stacked on top of each other, this house has a unique industrial style look. The container look is perfect for the industrial style, from the concept of the style to the way the containers are manufactured, they are industrialized processes, sheets bent by machines and assembled to be used for transportation. In this house we use this concept, and we value this rustic concept. In the containers we kept the typical container colors, blue and red to transmit the whole life history of the containers and all the new annexes we used the gray and black to bring contrast over all this journey of the containers and to show that there is also room for new possibilities. We created an external skeleton structure to receive a roof addition. This roof is separated in 3 parts, a slatted one that helps to reduce the solar incidence but doesn't hinder the air passage and facilitates the access for air conditioner repairs, for example. A glass roof that gives amplitude and a view of the sky in the main bedroom, and a closed part with metal tiles where we can use it as a place for the water tank or a deposit for the batteries of the solar panels. The glass roof with the closed part was also thought to capture rainwater and store it in a space on the first floor. But the highlight of this house is certainly the large sliding gate that transforms the house from a shipping container to a house full of light and life. The external structure is very important for the support and balance of this gate that goes out from the edge of the house and unites the external with the internal. Inside we have a loft with a bedroom overlooking the sky. One of the most important points in this house is the double height, as we used only two 40ft containers, the double height combined with the sliding doors and windows not only helps the temperature of the house, but also amplifies the ambiance giving the impression that the house is much bigger. The house uses some concepts of industrial style, such as graffiti, metal coatings, among others. But do not take this as something permanent, if we replace the metal coatings, for other smooth, paint all containers and extensions of a single color, we have the possibility to work with several different styles. This small house can also be a vacation home or an arbnb that will definitely attract many people interested in the unique look of the house. The main volume of the house is constructed with exposed concrete, complemented by a large pivot window on the facade. To maintain focus on the concrete, we utilized black accents for the social entrance. Rustic is the defining characteristic of this house, combining simplicity and timeless materials – a perfect blend for an industrial style. The combination of double-height ceilings and the expansive window creates an illusion of spaciousness, filling the compact spaces with abundant natural light. Don't be fooled, though. The daring facade design ensures privacy and temperature control. Each panel of the window can be individually moved, allowing for selective ventilation on colder days. Additionally, by combining the window with blackout curtains, you can envelop the entire facade, safeguarding your privacy. Of course, a bold facade like this deserves a beautiful backdrop, whether it's perched atop a hill with panoramic city views or nestled amidst a lush natural reserve. The possibilities for breathtaking landscapes are endless. - WHAT IS A LOFT? Lofts are houses with a single integrated environment, that is living room, kitchen, and bedroom belong to the same environment without any walls. Usually, the bedroom is positioned on a mezzanine. Most of the spaces in the house surround an unusable area. A space for contemplation. This space extends from the ground floor to the top of the house and is at the center of the home. In this space, there is an intermediary between the internal and external, where we confuse the garden and the structure. Due to being a small house on a 5x10m plot, this garden and contemplative space are small but of immense importance to the house. In addition to helping spread sunlight throughout the house, the roof has automatic windows, transforming this empty space into a conduit for winds, thus cooling the house's interiors. Besides bringing the external into the internal, this space has a garden with a medium-sized tree, extending the idea of the contemplative garden to the upper spaces. The Ma is also present on the house's facade. Creating a division between white and black, there is a void, a space between spaces. The MA is also found there. This small space is of utmost importance to the house; it has windows that, when opened in conjunction with the roof windows, create what we call the "chimney effect," where air enters through the window and exits through the roof, taking away the hot air present in the house. Thus, giving greater significance to this "gap" in the facade. The Ma house has a garage, 3 bedrooms, one master bedroom, with 2 bathrooms + 1 powder room, living room, dining room, kitchen, and a study/office area, all on a 5x10-meter plot. But more than that, the Ma House values the sun. Ma (間) is the combination of two kanjis: gate/portal (門) and sun (日). And the Ma house is about valuing the time/space that the sun illuminates. We use various Shoji panels and doors, providing diffuse light in all spaces while maintaining their privacy. The Ma house is a cozy minimalism; its concept and materials were designed to remind you that gaps and voids are also important. Throughout the house, we have utilized a combination of white and wood, evoking the essence of a modern and luxurious sailing vessel. The white color scheme enhances the sense of spaciousness and luminosity, elevating the overall luxurious feel.
