Synthwave is usually instrumental, with large, throbbing, dreamy synths, and an often cinematic and epic sound. The genre typically features upbeat, 80s-inspired percussion, though some synthwave has little drums, if any. Synthwave incorporates elements from a variety of genres that originated and/or was most popular during the 1980s, including, but not limited to, Synthpop, Progressive Electronic, Italo-Disco, Electro-Disco, and other derivative styles. Synthwave albums are often arranged in a style that is similar to a Film Soundtrack, Film Score, Television Music, or Video Game Music album. The visual element of synthwave is important as well. The success of synthwave soundtracks Drive and Hotline Miami helped to popularize synthwave as a whole, attracting new listeners and artists to the genre. Since the genre's beginnings, many record labels have been set up dedicated to this sound (the most important being the French label Valerie, American label Italians Do It Better, and the Canadian label Rosso Corsa Records), and a slew of producers have emerged from around the world, as the scene continues to flourish. "I Feel Love" is a song by the American singer Donna Summer. The first recording of the song was made in 1954 by Kaye Ballard. Frank Sinatra's 1964 version was closely associated with the Apollo missions to the Moon. In 1999, the Songwriters Hall of Fame honored "Fly Me to the Moon" by inducting it as a "Towering Song Subsequent recordings and uses In 1960, Peggy Lee released the song on the album Pretty Eyes, then made it more popular when she performed it in front of a large television audience on The Ed Sullivan Show. Bengali-Pakistani pop singer Alamgir recorded the Urdu version of this song titled Kya Tum Mere Ho (are you mine). The song was released in 1981 for his album Alamgir Sings for Himself. By 1995, the song had been recorded more than 300 times. According to a poll conducted by Japanese music magazine CD&DL Data in 2016 about the most representative songs associated with the Moon, the cover versions by Claire Littley and Yoko Takahashi ranked 7th by 6,203 respondents.
