I have 35 years experience in the residential construction industry. I do a lot of videos on every aspect of doing concrete work. We pour floors do stamped concrete build house and garage foundations with Nudura ICF blocks. We also do most of our own excavation work. I have a Kubota back hoe Yanmar mini excavator and a mini Bobcat track loader as well as a tracked concrete buggy. Through the years I have developed many time saving tips and tricks that I would like to share with you. I live in Upstate New York so we don't do concrete in the winter much. During the winter I'm making videos on fixing up the houses that I buy to restore. I usually fix up a house every two years and then rent it out or sell it. He put radiant heat in the garage floor and we poured that at a pitch. Description: This is part 2 of the new system I have developed to build a monolithic slab out of ICF blocks In this video we install the radiant heat and pour the porches and the garage floor. </video> <video> THE COST OF A WET LOAD OF CONCRETE Description: We had the concrete come in wetter than we asked for and it always ends up costing more time and money when that happens. PART 1 Description: I have developed a new way to use ICF blocks to create a form for a monolithic slab on grade. </video> <video> HOW LONG WILL A POLE BARN LAST? Description: WE were hired to build and pour a curb and pour the floor in this lean too off of a pole barn. We were not happy to see how bad of shape the poles were in from rotting. I am a firm believer that wood belongs above ground. Build your buildings on stem walls or Monolithic slabs and you never have to think about it again. </video> <video> YOU PROBABLY NEVER SEEN A DRIVEWAY LIKE THIS BEFORE!!!! Description: In this video I show you how we poured out this 23000 sq foot driveway. it took us a while as we did it in sections. We border edged it and also cut it in a diamond pattern and it looks awesome. The customer also owned the concrete plant and he chose me and my team to do this work at his personal house. He was super happy and I was proud of my team that we got it done for him and he chose us above all the other concrete guys in our area. Hope you enjoy this video and comment and like the video please. </video> <video> WACKER NEUSON SM 100 SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON TO SM 120 Description: I rented a SM 100 stand on skid steer while my SM 120 was on order so I got a good comparison by running both machines and also got them side by side at the dealer to compare them. </video> <video> HOW TO FORM AND POUR MONO SLAB WITH A CURB DETAIL !! Description: I am building a small garage at my property in Redfield. They get extreme cold weather and tons of snow. What a good place for a heated Alaskan slab/Monolithic slab. We also formed an integral curb detail and this detail ads a bunch more strength and crack prevention. </video> <video> STORAGE BUILDING CONCRETE FAILURE AND SUCCESS!!!! Description: I have developed a better way to pour out these metal storage building pads. There is a step down around the edge of the entire building. some people leave a 2x10 in there and pull it out the next day well that is not going to look real good as you will see in this video as I compare our method with the old way everybody does it. It is a pain no matter how you do this but I think I got something here. Let me know how you do it when you pour these pads. </video> <video> BLOOD SWEAT TEARS AND DEERS !!! Description: In this video I take you from the end of concrete season to the beginning of my vacation deer hunt in Missouri. The loss of a close friend really can take a tole on your mind and body. However our friend was looking down on me and my brother from heaven with a smile on his face as we harvested deer in one of his favorite spots and my brother got a deer that me and Mark had both missed the previous season. Description: We were pouring out this 24x40 pole barn concrete floor and a misunderstanding set this customer and his wife into a rage. Do you think I did the right thing by staying and finishing the job? What would you have done? </video> <video> BRAND NEW ICF SYSTEM PART 3 (WE MESSED UP!!! ) Description: We finished up our ICF mono pour system and the house got built. The home owner reached out to me with a problem nobody thought of until the water line needed to be installed. </video>
