Low enzyme production from the pancreas can be triggered by SIBO, leading to more compromised digestion and sustaining the bacterial overgrowth that caused the issue in the first place. Supporting people with digestive symptoms makes up the bulk of my practice but there are always symptoms that stem from digestive disorders and one of them is anxiety. It is such a common presentation of mould exposure and drives histamine intolerance in a multitude of ways. The biggest driver here would be via mast cell degranulation and liberation of excessive histamine as an inflammatory response to mycotoxins. Testing for mould exposure includes urine mycotoxin testing as well as organic acids testing too. These. two labs are invaluable to rule in or rule out immune mediated histamine intolerance. </video>
