Channel Title: THE MUSIC ENHANCEMENT CHANNEL Channel Description: I'm dedicating this channel as a music video channel. Most of what I post up are music videos featured as "ENHANCED RECORDINGS". The purpose is to bring back a lot of the great classics from the Golden Era of Rock and Roll and enhance those songs in such a way as to make them more enjoyable to listen to. This is accomplished by adding/ layering over new multitrack instruments (acoustic/electric guitars, keyboard sounds, vocals and percussion) in such a way that it does justice to the original recording--that is--so that the added instrument, vocal enhancements sound like they could have/or should have been in the original recording. My purpose as a musician is only to brighten up and beautify the original! Having worked in home recording studio for 10 years I have some knowledge of how that should be done. I have also play guitar since 1964 and and was the rhythm guitar, lead vocals and harmonica player in a 60's ,70's tribute band called "Abbey Road" from 1994-2004 in Eastern, Pa. <video> LOVE POTION NO.9--THE SEARCHERS (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1964 Description: Have had requests for something by "The Searchers" so I threw this on in the lot. Hope you like it! </video> <video> NEEDLES AND PINS--SMOKIE (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1977 Description: Here is another of my favorites and what I consider to be the best version of "Needles & Pins" by Smokie. I bought the album at the Frackville Mall decades ago and the mall is not there anymore. Ordered a new Turntable for my records that I can't get on CD and the turntable is not the mag input but direct RCA out into the sound board. This really kicks. Hope you all like it! </video> <video> BONANZA TV SHOW THEME--ENHANCED STEREO VERSION Description: I thought I'd do a TV theme this time around and this is such a cool instrumental I couldn't resist. I had to do some serious instruments tracking on this one with electric, acoustic, keyboard, and percussion. I was about to move it to the other computer to make the video for it and I thought that something is still missing this song needs to really make it sound good. Usually when I finish up with a drum part that's it--I just close the program and get it ready for this video but not this time. I felt that a "johnny Cash" style rockabilly lead part on the left channel would do it and it did. It sounds just right. Hope you oldies fans like it too! </video> <video> OVERTURE FROM TOMMY--NEW ENHANCED VERSION (1970) Description: I have had this on the burner for many months and finally got around to enhancing this classic. It took me 10 hours of labor intensive tracking to get the full sound this song deserves. No acoustic guitar on this one just Telecaster electric 6, keyboard, and replayed the drums. Hope you oldies fans from that era like it. PS: have you noticed Youtube now blocks the "thumbs down" feature on the videos. Though no one like thumbs down on their video the people have a right to voice their opinion which is why it was there.That is really despicable! </video> <video> K'Tinga 8K Slide Show SPECTACULAR Description: I've been working on this slide show for months using my 1/350 Klingon studio model I built. I made it the highest resolution I could used 16-24 megapixel back mattes and model composites and rendering it to 8K for Youtube. My experience has been not to watch the videos on your computer but bring them up directly on your 4K TV or download them to the highest resolution and save them to your flash drive and plug that into the back of your 4K TV. I would like to make one of the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701 (TOS/The Old Show) and a moving one of it flying in and out of space. Another lop sides stereo version I tried my best to fix. Hope you like it </video> <video> WESTERN UNION --THE FIVE AMERICANS (NEW ENHANCED VERSION)1967 Description: This enhanced version is from a recording artist I had not done before which I can add to my list of 160+ . I thought this would be an easy song to work on but it turned out to be very difficult in the tracking to get the sound I wanted. I bought one of those electric guitar 3/4 scale (Mitchelle) and used it in this song. You can hear it in the beginning on right channel and through the song tracked on the left channel as well in certain places. Hope you like it. </video> <video> SUNDAY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME--SPANKY & OUR GANG (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1967 Description: I have had requests for this recording artist from the 1960's so here is one of maybe 3 I could do. Theses are really nice artistic, melodic compositions that are missing from the radio today. It took 10 hours of tracking and mixing to get this cockeyed stereo into something more balanced. Hope you oldies fans like it! </video> <video> SHAMBALA--THREE DOG NIGHT (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1973 Description: This is my first "Three Dog Night" enhanced version. In the past I have had requests for this recording artist so here you go. I could not find a decent stereo version anywhere so I mad this one. Hope you like it! </video> <video> ELENORE--THE TURTLES (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1968 Description: It's about time I got around to doing this song by the Turtles. Haven't done any by that group and this is another favorite of mine. Don't remember having a request for it but now you have it anyway. The remastered version is another lopsided stereo version I used make this new one. Hope you like it! </video> <video> ONE--THREE DOG NIGHT (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1968 Description: So here is 3 in a row for 3 dog night. This was a fun song to work on without too much trouble. Started around 12:00 and got done exactly at 6:00. Hope you like it! </video> <video> YOU'VE GOT YOUR TROUBLES--THE FORTUNES (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1965 Description: I had a request for this song the other night and it's good 1960's classic so I pulled it up and worked on it most of the day. One of the worst cockeyed stereo recordings I've had to work on. I don't know what they pay the so called sound engineers for that put out such junk. Took about 6 hours using a stereo version I had. Takes off like a rocket! Replayed drums on the left to make it rock! I didn't know Laura Nero wrote this until I saw it on the 45. She was a world class song writer! Hope you like it! </video> <video> SHERRY --THE FOUR SEASONS (NEW ENHANCED VERSION) 1962 Description: I was looking for another "FOUR SEASONS" classic to enhance so I chose this one. The stereo version is very lopsided with huge sections on the right channel with totally empty spaces. It was a fun song to work on. No acoustic guitars on this one just my electric Telecaster 6 (left and right channel), added keyboard (wave organ), drums played on right channel, tambourine and some extra vocals tracks for stereo effect.
