I went out to the mountains to test it out but Mother Nature had different plans LOL. With a storm front rolling in and it can happen quickly out there. The first spot it start rain, sleet and snow, so I had race ahead to another spot to stay ahead of it. But was well worth the it, such a fun truck to drive and it looks good doing it. I changed out the tires, rims and added some weight to the wheels. I really like the way the truck articulates and stay more planted to the ground, I guess its more of a rock crawl style set up but I like it. I do have some nice rock areas to play on LOL. This is a replica build of Eustace Conway's wood burning powered truck on the History Channel, Mountain Men. A wood gas generator is a gasification unit which converts timber into wood gas. Which after cooling and filtering can be used to power an internal combustion engine. The build is on a CMAX2 chassis from GCM Racing, it's an amazing scale chassis for any custom scale build and preforms awesome (link below). A lot of the 3D printing is from True North RC, Chad had to customize the size of the motor for me to make it fit perfectly for me. Make sure to hit TNRC for your 3D prints (link below). The cab is a RC4WD extra cab body that was cut down to make it a regular cab LOL. Why? The full interior details and opening doors n hood are what I was after. The flatbed is also from RC4WD with a few custom touches. With all that weight slammed on a CMAX2 chassis, it has some pretty amazing low centre of gravity, she's heavy LOL. It crawls like a champ, I didn't push it to hard for its first run, but climbs and side hills great. I had a lot fun on this build and yes I am a huge fan of the TV show. It was a great weekend for some tiny tires to spin and what a view from Mountain View RC Park. Brandon has put in a bunch of work on the park and raises wagyu beef for his butcher shop in Calgary, so we got to sample some wagyu beef in jerky, pepperoni sticks, hot dogs and hamburgers. After watching a bunch of videos on the H10 and seeing the same 2 liveries over and over. I really need to do something different, so I took off the decal package and went with that... for now LOL. If you have any ideas on what I should do with the livery or paint scheme let me know in the comments, thanks. I also changed the electronics out to the HW Fusion SE 1800kv and installed a SAVOX 1210 servo. I kept the stock radio and receive in it, I really like the radio so far. The rig did amazing, the only thing I would say it really needs is some heavier rims or weight in the tires. It is so light that the rig doesn't totally flex out and rides out on the shocks, if you know what I mean. I don't think it needs a lot but some for sure. I don't normally do videos of fast trucks and not totally set up for it either LOL, I've got some learning to do for sure. I did do some slow more filming at 240 and 120 frames per second but it down graded the video from 4K to 1080. Still looks good but I want to figure that out better for the future. It's a little hard to show all the detail of the interior of the cabin but I manage to get some good footage. The TF2 chassis is 10 years old and has a lot slop in the transmission, so it rolls about 2-3 inches between forward and reverse. A true beater and just keeps on going.
