It shows Sumerian battle wagons, sometimes wrongly called chariots, being pulled by donkeys, with the passengers ready to hurl javelins at the enemy. They were not very manoeuvrable but they would have been far better than walking to the battlefield and were probably used by the elites to view the battle and to issue commands to their troops.
