My name is Helle, and on this channel I share aspects of my knitting life as well as bits about Denmark & aspects of my Danish life, including some of the things I love best, such as nature, literature, travel, my garden, as well as musings on life in general. My opinions and beliefs are (of course) based on where I am in life and what I have experienced. In no way do I want to appear like an expert on life but rather like someone who is on a journey of discovery. I would be honored if you would join me. It is my hope that you will be either enlightened, entertained or uplifted - in a small way. <video> A knitting episode (13): Everything I knitted in 2023 & what I wear the most Description: Happy New Year, and thank you for joining me in this review-of-2023 knitting episode. If you've seen my previous episodes, you'll have seen and heard some of it before, but I do try to draw some (new) overall conclusions because things happen, simply, with the passing of time. It did the little 'fashion show-y' thing again, modelling each garment in order for you to see the fit, but I did it outside because the light was much better than inside (at this time of year, here). This meant that I left out modelling the three summer tops as it would have been just a tad too cold. If you therefore haven't seen me wear those and would like to check out the fit, I wear the first two mentioned in knitting episode 7 and the third in episode 8. Just FYI. This was not a holiday; let me make that perfectly clear. When I looked through the footage myself, I thought: well, nobody can see all the stress I felt, the lack of sleep, the worries. But maybe that's OK. As long as you don't think it's a walk in the park being a travel guide. It is not. I was asked to go again in April, but I said no, mainly due to the flight details, which I briefly mention in the video. Maybe again at a later date. It was a tremendous experience, and it's always a bittersweet one because, although we were exhausted by the end and needed to rest at home, in our own beds, we didn't want to leave those mountains. Or those valleys. If you're interested in hiking but feel a long hike where you walk every day is too much, you can also go to some of these little towns, stay for a few days and go for shorter day hikes. In no way do I want to appear like an expert on life but rather like someone who is on a journey of discovery. I would be honored if you would join me.
