Much Love, Shelly aka Dietitian Shelly Music in Video: CODE - MB01ECLTVKX3ED5 Mashed Turnips Recipe: 5 turnips, washed and pat dry ½ cup heavy whipping cream 2 tbsp butter 2 ounces of cream cheese ½ tsp - 1 tsp salt Directions: Place a large pot of water on the stove top. Bring to a boil. Peel turnips. Chop into small pieces. Pour chopped turnips into boiling water. Cover. Boil for 25-30 minutes. Strain turnips. Return to pot. Place a low heat. Add heavy whipping cream butter, cream cheese, and salt. Using a potato masher, mash. Add fun toppings and serve!!! Diabetic Mashed Potato Recipe: 3 bunches of radishes, washed, dried, chopped 4 ounces of Cream cheese ¼ cup Heavy whipping cream ½ tsp Salt ½ tsp Pepper Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add chopped radishes. Cover and boil for 20 minutes. Drain radishes and return to pot. Add cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, salt, and pepper. Mash with a potato masher. Serve with shredded cheese and various condiments. Diabetic Mashed Potatoes Recipe 2! 1 head of cauliflower 2 tbsp butter ½ block cream cheese Seasoning of choice 1 can 100% pure pumpkin Bring a large pot of water to boil. Wash & cut cauliflower. Add cauliflower to boiling water. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. Strain. Return to pot. Add butter, cream cheese, and seasoning. Stir. Add in pumpkin. Using potato masher, mash items. Serve. Much Love, Shelly aka Dietitian Shelly Diabetic Blueberry Bagels Recipe 1 cup carbquik ½ cup 2% plain greek yogurt ¼ cup blueberries Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a pan with non-stick aluminum foil. Combine carbquik and yogurt in a bowl. Form dough into a ball. Divide into 6 pieces. Mold into a ball and form into a bagel. Lay bagels in a pan. Sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning. Spray top with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Nutrition Facts (per bagel): Calories - 65 Total carbs - 9.6g Fiber - 7.3 g NET CARBS - 2.3 g Pizza Wrap Mission Carb Balance Wrap 10 turkey pepperoni 1/4 cup shredded cheese Pizza Sauce Low Carb Lasagna 1 lb 90/10 ground meat 1 jar low sugar pasta sauce ¼ cup Italian dressing 1 can palmini, drained 1 cup 2% cottage cheese ¼ - ½ cup mozzarella cheese Brown ground meat. Stir in low sugar pasta sauce and Italian dressing. Cook for 10 min. Stir in Palmini. Stir in cottage cheese. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Serve!!! Roasted Asparagus 400 degrees for 12-15 min.
