Also in this feature is JR Toner (full program customer) starting 11th. It was a rough night for both teams, because JR was involved in a big wreck on first lap and was brought in on the hook. Maddox dropped 2 push rods and bent a valve early in the race and hurt his ability to power off corners. Despite the lack of power Maddox said car was most maneuverable car he ever had there! He could run the top, turn down under cars, run the bottom etc. Thats what i like to hear from customers is how drivable, and easy to drive the cars are. Standard DLM air pressure is as follows LR-6 LF- 8 RR-10 to 12 RF-12-13(more air for crates or very heavy/high banked tracks and 1/2 mile tracks. It is the total opposite! The left front helps the car with overall front grip, and can add drive with the stiffer of spring rates like 550lb vs 450lb and softer. I have played with many combinations and 550 LF with a 275-350 RF can get it done no matter the engine type. With every increasing competitiveness of other dirt late model teams the need to get every ounce of speed out of the car becomes more critical. These dirt late models are high drag race cars and on the half mile big 3/8 mile race tracks it becomes even more important from supers to crates to be able to reduce the drag with cars. This video is a demo of how I was able to increase the downforce and reduce drag. Description: The torque arm and 4 bars is some of most effective and powerful adjustments. The lift bar also known as traction device per worded by the rules. The 5th and 6th coil are two very effective and balanced altering adjustments. To know how these adjustments function and work will become a great tool in your setup knowledge set. And those who say don't touch the 5th coil position or spring are limiting your capacity to more extensive tuning to your piece.
