Boats define their timeless identity across riverine and coastal Bangladesh. So many designs evolved thanks to indigenous #designthinking flourishing thru communities. Working with the last remaining master carpenters, a Bangladeshi NGO, FRIENDSHIP, documents/preserves the knowledge-heritage of ancient technology of boat building. They design the miniature replicas of some of the boats with the original carpenters and employing authentic techniques and materials.
