In this channel I will be providing information about inmates on death row and scheduled executions in the United States, along with a background of the crime that person had committed for which he or she was sentenced to death. I intend to remain UNBIASED and NEUTRAL with regard to the death penalty and at no point should my narration be conveyed as offering my own personal opinions for or against it. Should anything I say appear to express my views on the matter, it was not my intention. While heinous crimes may be described, there will be no graphic or violent images displayed. Furthermore, no profanities will be spoken by the host or heard in any video. Because I receive the following question in comments area often: "Why do you make these videos?", I will answer HERE rather than replying the same thing repeatedly in comments, which I have done with a question of my own...If a State is going to end someone's life, do you not think it important for us to know the reason why? <video> Scheduled Execution (10/17/24): Robert Roberson – Texas Death Row – The Shaken Baby Case Description: Robert Leslie Roberson III (57) is scheduled to be executed in Texas on October 17, 2024. Roberson was sentenced to death for the 2002 murder of his two-year-old daughter Nikki in Palestine, Texas. UPDATE (THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2024): In Texas, the state's Supreme Court has halted today's scheduled execution of Robert Roberson to allow him to testify at a hearing next week. Cole was sentenced to death for the 1994 murder of FSU student, John Edwards (18), while on a camping trip with his sister, Pam Edwards (21 at the time), in the Hopkins Prairie campground of Ocala National Forest. Cole and an accomplice, William Paul (20 at the time), also beat and handcuffed Pam, and she was r**ped by Cole. They then left her tied to a tree, but she survived. Paul agreed to a plea deal and is serving a life sentence. UPDATE (THURSDAY, AUGUST 29, 2024): Loran Cole (57) was executed this evening in Florida. Official time of death was 6:15pm local time. Cole declined a spiritual advisor to be present and spoke no last words prior to being executed aside from answering, "No, sir" when asked. His final meal had consisted of pizza, M&Ms, ice cream, and a soda. UPDATE (FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2024): On Friday evening, Freddie Owens (46) was executed at the Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina. Official time of death was 6:55pm local time. Owens spoke no last words, only saying "Bye" to his lawyer when the drug was being administered. With his last words from the gurney, Burton stated: “I want to say thank you to all the people who support me and pray for me. To all the people I have hurt and caused pain, I wish we didn’t have to be here at this moment, but I want you to know that I am sorry for putting y’all through this and my family. I’m not better than anyone. I hope that I find peace and y’all can too.” - Texas does not allow a special final meal request for death row inmates to be executed. I hope that you are able to get closure and move on. Regardless which side of this situation that you are on. In 1994, Grayson (19 at the time) was one of four youths that kidnapped, tortured, and murdered Vicki DeBlieux (37), who was hitchhiking from Tennessee to her mother's home in Louisiana when she was attacked while traveling across Alabama. Two of the youths, Kenneth Loggins and Trace Duncan, both 17 at the time, also received death sentences, but that was later commuted to life in prison. The fourth youth, Louis Mangione (16), was sentenced to life. UPDATE (THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2024): Carey Grayson (50) was executed this evening at the William C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama. Official time of death was 6:33 p.m. local time. - With his last words, Grayson cursed at the warden in charge of the prison. “For you, you need to f*** off.” Because of his cursing at other prison employees throughout the day, his microphone was immediately turned off following his statement to the warden. - Grayson was sentenced to death for the 1994 murder of Vicki DeBlieux (37). The victim's daughter, Jodi Haley, was present as a witness for the execution and informed the media that she is opposed the the death penalty and opposed to this execution taking place. - Grayson had refused breakfast and lunch, but had coffee and a Mountain Dew. For his final meal, Grayson was served soft tacos, beef burritos, a tostada, chips and guacamole, with a Mountain Dew Blast drink. I want to thank the field ministers, the warden, and the correctional staff for all the changes being made across the system, even the men on death row, to show it is possible to be rehabilitated, and not deemed a threat, and not the men we were when we came into the system. We have changed, we are not the same. I took the legal steps to expedite to include assisted suicide. I don't regret this decision to legally expedite this process. I do regret the decision to take the life of my son. I apologize to the mother of my son, the victim's family. I have no ill will towards the court, the judicial system, the prosecution or the execution protocol. The morality of execution is between you and God. It was my decision that put me here. Littlejohn's mother and his daughter were present for the execution. His last words were directed at them when he looked at his mother and said, "Mom, are you okay?" She replied that she was. He then said, "Oh, I’m okay. I love you. I’m okay. UPDATE (THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2024): Oklahoma death row inmate Kevin Underwood, his 45th birthday today, was executed this morning at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, OK. His official time of death was 10:14 a.m. local time. Moments before the start of procedure, Underwood looked out the window at his mother who was present and stated his last words: "I would like to apologize again for all the terrible things I did. I hate that I did those things. I wish I could take them back. The decision to execute me on my birthday and six days before Christmas was a needlessly cruel thing to do to my family, but I'm very sorry for what I did and I wish I could take it back." - Kevin Underwood was served a special final meal request that consisted of chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, pinto beans, a hot roll, and a cheeseburger and fries with ketchup. - This was the 25th and final execution to take place this year in the United States. UPDATE 1: HURSDAY, AUGUST 8, 2024 - Utah death row inmate Taberon Dave Honie (48), is scheduled to be executed today at Utah State Correctional Facility in Salt Lake City. The death warrant allows the execution to take place anytime after 12:01am local time (2:01am ET, 11:01pm PT Wednesday) and news sources are reporting that Utah will begin the procedure shortly after midnight. - Because of the time this execution is scheduled to take place (2:00am ET here), an update on the outcome will be posted later in the day.
