Unfortunately the sound of this electric vehicle's pedestrian warning leaks into the cabin - it's a continual irritant at low speeds. </video> <video> Chevrolet Equinox EV: yes, but Description: We drive a 2024 MY Chevrolet Equinox EV AWD and show you the slight changes and pricing for 2025. Its range can top 500 km/300 mi in FWD trim, it can be down-spec'd to a much lower price and is a handsome SUV. Google Built-in is a great addition but requires an OnStar subscription, and the Equinox EV is not available with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. </video> <video> Redesigned Hyundai Santa Fe: simply excellent Description: The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe (unchanged for 2025 MY) is redesigned inside and out, upping the game against other three-row SUVs. Its new styling embraces the big 'n boxy look and the interior of the Calligraphy model reviewed here is packed with style and luxury at a less-than-luxe price. It's also available as a thrifty hybrid on some trims. Speaking of which, the all-wheel-drive version has surprisingly pleasant handling in addition to a smooth, quiet ride. Encore review. </video> <video> Good thing, small package: Fiat 500e Description: The 500e is the best Fiat 500 ever. As a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) it's much simpler than its predecessors. It's also larger and has generous space for those in the front seats, plus the electric drivetrain gives it plenty of pep while the handling consistently delivers smiles. The 500e is new to North America in 2024 but has been sold in Europe for four years, meaning it's been extensively tested in real-world conditions. </video> <video> '25 Genesis G70: powerful, lively, thirsty Description: Driving the luxurious 2025 Genesis G70 3.3T is fun until it's time to fill up. The 3.3-litre twin-turbo engine makes great sounds and plenty of thrust, 365 horsepower. Its handling is well balanced, with several useful modes. Its now-familiar design has aged well and its interior is what the premium buyer expects. It has few trims because so many features are included. But it consumes much more fuel than its rivals. </video> <video> Electric family-land Kia EV9 Description: The Kia EV 9 EV just might be the electric vehicle that the North American market wants. It is an outstanding fully electric three-row SUV. We like its chunky new design language and just about everything else about this big battery-powered hauler. Richard drives the very well-appointed GT Line trim. And it uses much less fuel than the full-size pickups that dominate the market. We review the hybrid version which consumes even less fuel than its thrifty EcoBoost sibling. Ford smartly also offers several other trims that are tastefully muted, plus one that's a true off-roader. Encore review. </video> <video> ZDX - Acura's fine first EV Description: The 2024 Acura ZDX is a big, elegant and enjoyable fully electric SUV. It happens to be manufactured by General Motors in the USA, giving it GM advantages such as the Ultium EV battery and an excellent hands-free system for highway driving. Google Built-in and a host of luxury features in the top-spec Type S we review contribute to its appeal. </video> <video> 2025 Volvo XC60 PHEV, poised and powerful Description: For 2025 the Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle gets more range. We review the Ultra trim which lays on a lot of Swedish luxury. It's a near-perfect blend of smooth ride and crisp handling, and the PHEV powertrain gives it an impressive 455 horsepower and more than 500 lb-ft of torque while using relatively little fuel. Correction: the engine is turbocharged but not turbo- and supercharged. </video>
