This is a smaller version of a trout slider that works great as a sculpin because it keeps a nice and wide head even when it gets wet. Another great aspect about this style of fly is that the deer hair work isn’t overly complicated and they can be tied fairly quickly. </video> <video> This Fly Has Crushed All Over The World! | Higa's OLIVE SOS | Fly Tying Tutorial Description: The olive SOS really came alive on a trip to the Green River in Utah. I startd playing with different colors shortly after the original black version. I used the black and olive together on a normal nymph rig bouncing the bottom. I picked up fish on both but the olive seemed to produce more espcially during the baetis hatch. The final version tied with a gold bead came about on a seperate trip to the Green with a good friend who had tied it this way. He was outfishing me 3:1 and the only difference was mine had the silver bead. As soon as I switched to the gold bead the fish couldn't resist!
