If you aren't familiar with the guys from @scraplifegarage they get their hands on salvaged cars and turn them into some insane projects. From Porsches, Corvettes, to Dodge Demons and everything in between! This 240SX is managed with our FT600 ECU as well as our WB-O2 Nanos, SparkPRO-5 ignition modules, and an assortment of sensors. We managed to get the V10 running great within just a few passes but both Dalt and Luis wanted to see how much we can really make on the dyno. AGAIN!! Szabolics Marchese Racing out of Australia brought over their newly designed Twin Turbo Pro Mod Camaro to get dialed in before heading back overseas. We're pretty confident they will be pleased with this 5400HP beast! This new setup is very similar to the Andrew Zada's setup that we had on the dyno a few weeks ago that previously had the record of 5362HP on our dyno! The only difference is the newly designed Proline Head, the MH7! With this upgrade along with the help of Steve Petty and Brandon Stroud of Proline Racing tuning, we managed to set a new FuelTech Hub Dyno record with an astonishing 5395HP! That's over 6000HP to the crankshaft! Just like Andrew Zada's setup, this Twin Turbo Proline Hemi powered Pro Mod Camaro has a set of next gen 98mm Precision Turbos along with the the TurboSmart Electoric Boostgate eBG50 Charge Air Valve. This setup along with Proline's new MH7 and some amazing people behind the build such as Mark Micke from M&M Transmissions, Jose Gonzalez of El General Racing, and Frank Marchese of Dandy Engines, we know this Pro Mod is on its way to make some incredible passes at the dragstrip. On the record breaking pull, the engine lost an oil line at the very end of the pass but luckily it didn't damage the engine or anyone in the process. Mark Micke of M&M Transmissions is changing the boosted community by bringing the exhaust-driven boost makers back to the front of the pack! While we were attending Mid West Drag Racing Series "Smack Down" event, we got to catch up with Mark and chat about his build from front to back. While we know it's not a secret, we wanted you all to know just how intricate this combo is and why its proven to make upwards 5000+ HP! A key feature for Micke’s turbo setup is the use of a single Turbosmart electronic wastegate to control boost, which is plumbed on the charge/cold side of the turbo system. Their theory is to have the twin Garrett GT57 98mm turbochargers spool as quickly as possible. In fact, the Camaro doesn’t even have wastegates on the exhaust/hot side. According to Micke, the large displacement Pro Line Racing HEMI makes 48 psi in just a half of second. The aggressive boost curve mimics a centrifugal supercharger and the lack of exhaust pressure bleed-off helps provide downforce to keep the front-end planted. FuelTech PowerFT was one of the first ECUs to offer electronic wastegate control when Turbosmart debuted the product a few years ago. We must also note, Pro Line Racing tuner Steve Petty, who is a collaborator on this project is an integral part of this build and it's success as well as everyone on Mark's race team! We know he would have a laundry list of people to mention who have had their hands on this build and its success. While over the last several years there have been perceived challenges with the turbocharged combination for outlaw Pro Mod competition; Micke, however, knew he could solve each one and to do so, he created a think tank with some of the industry’s biggest powerhouses. No problem! Where others see the impossible, @EmeliaHartford sees opportunity. A successful actress, content creator, entrepreneur, record-breaking performance car builder, and race car driver, Hartford doesn’t shy away from a challenge. This is not her first record breaking build, a few years ago she took her fans along for the ride as she set out to build the world’s fastest C8 Corvette Stingray, sharing the highs and lows with her online following. The twin turbo C8 rose to the challenge, posting 9.41 on the quarter-mile at 144.94 miles per hour, which was later broken by FuelTech Founder and CEO @AndersonDick. Beating the record of 1,300 horsepower, held by legend Chris Forsberg, was the goal. Did Emelia Hartford and the FuelTech engine tuning team beat the record? No, they CRUSHED it! Emilia Hartford’s Nissan Z project may have had a tight deadline, but her team went all out on this impressive build, leaving little of the stock Z remaining. Custom plumbing delivers the airflow to feed monster Xona twin turbos and installed a 3.8-liter VR38 engine from @CicioPerformance with stock heads in a stock block built out with a rotating assembly, CNC ported heads, and GSE valve train. The all wheel drive Z was converted to rear wheel drive with the independent rear suspension swapped out for a solid rear axle. FuelTech’s FT600 ECU is the engine management system of voice for this build with 2 NanoPRO wideband O2 sensor controllers for closed loop fuel management. The FTSPARK-8 high-energy capacitive discharge ignition (CDI) provides the massive spark energy to feed high horsepower builds and the FT Input Expander ensures that there are plenty of input channels available. Finally, FT Injector 240lb/h fuel injectors handle the methane fuel vehicle ensuring linearity, repeatability and accuracy for all cylinders. Hartford’s talents are not limited to the track and garage.
