I did spend hours on research for all this information and editing for this video, hence the watermark. This video goes over the significant positives and negatives of the horse racing industry. When taking a look at the horse racing industry from many viewpoints across the globe, it is not hard to come to the conclusion that is topic is much more complicated and deeper than originally assumed. The horse racing industry is part of the global economy in today’s world and is far too valuable to remove, while there are hundreds to thousands of horses that are injured or doped worldwide. Many people will say there are no problems, both spectators and people within the business and industry. Then you will see welfare activists that call for the immediate halt of all drug use and abusive tactics used with racehorses. While it is clear that there needs to be some level of change, many say it is not enough. Organizations and governments have stepped in on some of the problems and enacted reforms for these issues. This is a global debate and the significant level of economic benefit from the horse racing industry wherever it is present is too valuable to halt horse racing altogether. It can be safely stated and assumed that the answer to these large over-arching obstacles and debates fall somewhere in the center of the spectrum with 'stop horse racing' on one end and 'change nothing about the current state of the industry' at the other. All the footage and audio is mine. This is a video of my mare, Ariel, free running. She was very excited to do so as you can see, she is calling/whinnying while she runs and bucks. As some of my followers may know, Ariel was pregnant and gave birth to a colt on June 4th of this year. She was an extremely good mother and weaned the colt on November 1st, just a little over a month ago. She is now slowly coming back into work, but you can see that she has plenty of energy for it. She delivered on her due date (340 days) on June 4th 2020. She delivered Empi at 4:02am after only about six minutes of second stage labor after her water broke. Empire (Empi) is a black colt out of Ariel by the stallion Carry On MF. He is black with two white hind socks. Note: I did help her a tiny bit at the end, as she was starting to strain and struggle and I could tell her contractions were getting more forceful. I have not recorded or uploaded any gopro helmet cam videos in about a year due to Ariel’s pregnancy. She weaned the colt in November and has been doing great over the last month or so getting back into work. In this video, I tack her up and groom her before heading outside to flat her. I then clean off her legs due to the wet arena footing and wash her tail briefly. We untack and I finish up with her. She was very chill and had a great time outside. She delivered on her day 331 of gestation on June 7th 2023. She delivered Lenox at 4:12am after only about six minutes of second stage labor after her water broke. Lenox is a bay colt out of Ariel by the stallion Bliss MF. He is bay with three white socks (both front legs and the right hind) and a star stripe on his face. Note: I did help her a tiny bit at the end, as she was starting to strain and struggle and I could tell her contractions were getting more forceful.
