The unique Gustaf III Airport St Barts (SBH) on the Caribbean Island of Saint Barthelemy is the third most dangerous airport in the world, one place ahead of SXM Airport St. Maarten. Saint Barthelemy landing places high demands on the pilots and that's because: the approach takes place over a hill with a lot of car traffic, then a steep descent to the runway RWY 28 with only 646 meters and this ends just before the sea. On the hill, the planes fly just a few meters above the car traffic and the descent is often complicated by gusty crosswinds. That's why my wife and I were able to film from the same row to the left and right in 4K. Unfortunately, the windows weren't really clean - otherwise the footage would have been even better. Departure over the Corfu island and then along the entire Croatian coast, with the many beautiful islands and over Italy to the Alps. These shots run at 8x speed and all the major cities and sights are named. As we pass the Alps, there is a solid cloud cover and the video starts again with the start of the landing approach, where you can see large cloud formations. Fantastic landing with a great view of Düsseldorf with the winding river Rhine, the colorful fields and a 180° curve near Mönchengladbach. This approach path around Düsseldorf is very rare. Shots from both sides of the flight over the Rhine, the landing and the taxiway to the parking position. After getting out, there are more close-ups of the special "BVB FanAirbus". It was not possible to leave the plane because the stormy rain made it impossible to get off. There were no stairs and no bus. All passengers had to return to their seats and wait for the heavy rain to stop. Unfortunately, I don't have any video footage of the extremely heavy rain because I was already standing in the aisle to get out and the camera had already been dismantled. It is actually almost impossible to take good window shots from a plane when the windows are heavily rained on. I was all the more surprised that my new GoPro Hero 11 black with the latest focus technology had no problems with this. The water on the window, the wings and also the landscape in the background were surprisingly sharp. I had actually expected a good weather landing through the beautiful bay with the Vlachera monastery, but these unusual shots also satisfied me. Appropriate orientation is shown by displaying the city names in the video.
