Sadly this morning I had to say goodbye to this lovely pony. Will always be my least favourite part of project ponies, saying goodbye! However his new home could honestly not be any better, they already love and adore him and there is nothing Fudge loves more than undivided attention! I have loved working with this little pony and have been amazed by his talented. Although rather tricky and frustrating at first he really did open up and I saw the lovely fun, bubbly pony he really is. He has so much character and so much to give. I have also really enjoyed giving riding lessons with him to children as he always takes care of them so well and its so lovely to see little ones being introduced to the world of horses and riding!! Very said to have to say goodbye to this talented little man, but I know he will never stop giving and has so much in him to continue show everyone! Goodbye little dude x Instagram: @jess.eq </video> <video> Goodbye teddy - progress video Description: Today I said a seriously hard goodbye to little ted 💙 • Teddy really does have one of the kindest hearts of any pony I’ve ever met, he only ever wants to please and without fault will always try his best. I’m so lucky that I’ve been able to own such a super little youngster like him, he has been so much fun and I’ve loved every minute with him and although so gutted to see him go I am so glad he’s found such an amazing home and so local, he deserves a little best friend like he has now who thinks the world of him, as have I it’s always strange at this point of having projects as although your intention all along is to bring them on and find them the most amazing home there it really doesn’t make it an easier to say goodbye, love you little ted you’ve been simply the best💙 </video> <video> One year with Goofy - The start of something good Description: I was listening to this song on the way to trying goofy a year ago, literally thinking, if I get this horse, I will use this song in a video with him as the lyrics suit so well, here we are a year later.. This is in no way a progress video as I feel we still have so far to come and are only just getting started, this is more a video to show the ups and downs and hardwork we’ve been through together :) What a year it has been. This day a year ago I got a call from the vet saying my dream horse had passed the vetting and i broke down into tears whilst on that phone call (apologies to the vet who it was probably very awkward for my bad x) I was in no way meant to be getting a horse at that point - it being the middle of my GCSEs could’ve been one reason as to why a new horse at that exact moment wasn’t the greatest idea but I was truly drawn to him from the second I heard about him, I didn’t know, but since I was 12 I was saving up to buy this dude, not many people can say they have their dream horse and that is why every single day I am so insanely grateful to have this horse in my life. Saying this, he sure hasn’t been the easiest in the world and there have been some very tough days, weeks and months and anyone who knows goofy will stand by the fact he isn’t exactly a straightforward bean. But this horse has taught me all about patience and determination and horsemanship. Things haven’t really worked in our favour so much so far but I like to think that we’ve only just scratched the surface of what we will get up to together, because in my eyes we’re only just getting started. </video> <video> Meet up with Dozzy 2018 Description: Defo worth waiting for the end for some cracking raws Had a blast with Dozzy aka Gal wee wee (@Galway.eventing) The ponies were all totally super and was just a great few days - even if boiling hot ! And I put poor Dozzy on him ;) </video> <video> Goodbye buddy - we have had the time of our lives Description: Sadly this video hasn't turned out like i wanted, couldn't include his improvement in flatwork and just couldn't find a way to fit in all the clips needed to do this pony justice of how he has come along but I think that showing how he's changed will always be impossible as even thinking about how he used to be such a nervous, skittish pony, it really shocks me as he is just such a different pony now. Its been a while since he's been gone now but i physically couldn't get myself to make the video I even struggled now so excuse the fact its a bit mushed together and not at all what id hoped. Saying goodbye to this pony has been such a hard and painful experience, he means so much to me and is so close to my heart, i witnessed him after he had such a horrible past from horrible people that he didn't deserve. The fact he chose to trust me, even if not immediately, is mad, as after everything he'd been through I know it must have been such a hard thing for him to do. A pony that was even afraid of cuddles who now will sit for hours to cuddle me when IM down. I couldn't sit on buddy when i got him, he was scared of that, he was scared of people! It almost frustrates me that I can never put into words or a video quite what this pony has gone through and become, but maybe thats what makes it so special. It brakes my heart that we had to part ways, it was a super dark time for me and still is, but I just now can't wait to see what this pony can be capable of with his new rider as they are getting on so well already. Buddy will never ever leave my heart and has a seriously special place in it. Couldn’t fault him really! Shoutout to rosehill which was the only place we could find that was actually open, thank you!!! Now even more excited to take these two to their first ever event at the weekend.. might be a flaming disaster but hopefully it will still be fun giving it a go ... lol </video> <video> Bury farm bareback challenge 2019 (3rd) Description: Full round from the bareback challenge this year!!! @buryfarmequestrian pulled it off with another unforgettable evening for the bareback challenge ❤️ • Another night that I will simply never forget, other than feeling sick and unprepared in the build up every moment other than that was just incredible and surreal. Words will never describe how much I love cruise and how insane he really was, he listened so well and definitely loved it as much as I did and there is just no feeling quite like that. Not only is this pony 17 years old but he also had to put up with wobbly crippled me with my bad hip and boy did he take care of me to go and take 3rd place with the two amazing people that are @serena.kullich.eq & @lily.equestrian coming in 1st & 2nd ❤️ Decided against doing the big joker this year as felt I was testing my hip already more than I should be 😂😭 Plus the fact he’s proved himself able of that in the challenge before and he owed me nothing and slightly wimped out myself, but he smashed the jump off turn to the 1.10 joker making me so damn proud. I wish there was a way I could tell this lad just how much I love him and for him to well and truly understand every word, he’s just incredible and couldn’t ask for a better partner by my side. ❤️🤧 • Also want to say an enormous thank you to the huge amount of support received by you guys, it makes the whole experience all the more surreal it is my favourite show in the world and I’m so glad everyone else enjoys it too! Today marks 3 years with cruise 💙 This pony truly could not mean more to me than he does. He is my everything and I owe so much to him. A huge amount of what I've learnt with riding is truly a credit to him. He has simply taught me more than I could ever imagine and not only with my riding. He never fails to put a smile on my face and I can always count on him to cheer me up, he has been there for me for so much and has had to put up with so much - he’s had to put up with me for 3 frickin years poor thing! But seriously, my life would simply not be the same without him. No words can describe just how much he means to me and how much I love him, it may be just 3 years but it feels like I’ve known him my whole life and not a clue how I got by without him. I love him like I could never imagine and he will never ever be going anywhere and has a forever home with me where he can continue to make me look 2ft tall, scare my friends, secretly be a BFG although pretends he’s a wild monster and put the biggest smile on my face day in and day out. ❤️ </video> <video> 4 years with Cruise Description: Today I have had Cruise for 4 years - Although it feels like I’ve had him forever :,) He really is my everything and means more to me than I will ever be able to comprehend and no matter what, he will always be my number one. For so many years, despite being incredibly lucky to loan a couple ponies, I was just so desperate to get a pony of my own, I dreamed of it every day but even so, I don't think my dreams quite prepared me for quite how incredible it would really be having cruise by my side. It means everything to me that I can keep him forever, I owe this pony the absolute world, he has done so much for me, he has taught me in so many ways, in more than just improving my riding but has also taught me to work hard and always persevere. Although also absolutely everything in my riding 'career' I do totally owe to him as well. My only wish is to give back as much as I can to this pony as he has given to me. He really is my everything. 💙 </video> <video> Goodbye Storm - Progress video Description: Today I had to say a very sad goodbye to little storm - As most of you know, Storm was a rescue, I'd say probably one of the hardest parts of the journey with him was the groundwork. He was quite vicious on the ground, but only out of fright not nastiness, he would bite and kick if you distressed him. But I'd say that once we cracked the groundwork, I then gained his trust. And he just flew from there. He really hasn't got a bad bone in his body. So willing to please and has just been such a genuine and kind pony and working with him has been amazing. As always it has been very sad to say goodbye but also exciting to be able to watch what he will go on to do, he has such a lovely new home and his two little riders have got the best christmas present. Storm and Cruise were so so good really don't know any other horses that would put up with our humor quite like they do... </video> <video> Woodland hunt PC Camp 2018 Description: Such an awesome 5 days at camp, Goofy was a star and made me mega proud, did our first sj competition and won! Had so much fun with everyone as per, we had a carnage obstacle course sadly couldn't take part as still can't actually run due to my hip, a bucking bull - which I stayed on for the longest on ey up. But a huge thank you to everyone at woodland for making it such an epic camp yet again. </video> <video> Goodbye bob - progress video Description: A very sad goodbye was said to bob the cob today. There truly aren't many ponies as kind, genuine and big hearted as bob. He is so so special. To see how far he came puts me in absolute awe of him. He tried so so hard more and more everyday and never stopped getting better. Don't think you could ever guess this pony was rescued- twice for that matter, before coming to me and meg where all he has been is a sweetheart. He really is the definition of a super cob and has gone from not being able to move in a straight line to flying round courses of 90 and going to the pc regional championships. What a pony. What a big heart. Him and meg have come on so far together and its been so wonderful to be a part of it. Bob I will never stopped being amazed by you and how much you just keep giving. </video>
