Thanks and have a great day! :D <video> Schindler D-Series Traction Freight Elevator at Glory Mall in Beijing, China Description: Video Recorded on June 16, 2024: I vaguely remember passing by this elevator somewhere when my aunt needed to use the restroom like at least 10 years ago, but it took me a good while to find it again to get a ride. Interestingly enough, this elevator and all the rest of them have the Schindler 3300 exterior directional chimes despite that this isn’t a this isn’t a 3300 MRL. Same as ever. I remember riding this elevator long before I even started this channel. Installed in 2002. Unfortunately, the Schindler 3300 MRL elevator inside the parking garage from 2014 was broken since the hurricane took place last summer. Installed in 2003. I am very disappointed with how they treat their elevators. Only one out of all the elevators in this entire shopping complex was working. The parking garage elevator was broken, and so is the service, despite being at all the elevators are entirely the same. The Schindler 3300 elevator was also ripped out as well. I know for a fact mall maintenances are incredibly poor, but I also don’t know if this has to do with Kone‘s quality as I’ve heard a lot of bad stories about them. Installed in the 2000's to 2010's. Description: Video Recorded on January 1, 2025: I have not seen these elevators in almost a couple years, so it is definitely time to do a check up on how each of the parking garage elevators are doing, making this the first elevator trip in the New Year! Note to you: I STILL have 20 to 40 videos from 2024, especially countless of elevator revisits from within the greater Houston area that I will be releasing here really soon, so I think these overly filmed famous parking garage elevators are the first to be checked on. Notice how they added the Mercedes-Benz dealership advertisement on each of the elevator hoistway doors in every parking garage! As for the fire truck and ambulance briefly seen in the beginning of the video, there was an accident that happened. The victim is doing fine, but only to check to make sure though. End of story. Anyways, I’ll let you decide on how these elevators in each garageare doing in its current stage. Texas Garage: Installed in 2005 (officially 20 years old). Description: Video Recorded November 20, 2024: Looking through the records, it says that it received no modernizations until noticing it’s only got a slap-on mod of some sort. While this may not be anything special, just wait until you see the last elevator here in Bellaire! Installed in 1979, partially modernized in between the 2000’s and/or 2010’s. For those who may ask, the main elevators are behind turnstiles, so I’m absolutely taking no risk of bothering those anyhow, and there’s also security desk right when you enter. Not worth the chance. Description: Video Recorded on October 9, 2024: I actually did film these elevators at least once before in 2006-2007 back when it was Sharpstown Mall at that time, but I unfortunately lost the video from my old camera. Therefore, I came here to do a proper take almost 18 years later while doing updated takes on the other elevators. I don't know who originally installed these elevators before they got modernized. Either a US or Armor. Seems like the cabs were redone recently. The mall elevator was also broken at the time I was here. Installed in 1962, modernized in the early 2000’s. This is just a video I took over the summer when I took a trip with Joseph (@FlipperGames505) to Greensboro. Just I also do want to tell you this, I don’t really post a lot of train videos much anymore due to low views of some sort that doesn’t seem to be beneficial for my channel. That’s why there were a little to barely any train/railfanning videos I have posted for the past year or two, and mainly stuck with elevators like over 90% of the time as those have drawn a lot more views than trains. I don’t think I will never ever post any train videos ever again, but just at least for the time being, I’ve pretty much ceased operation from railfanning unless I see a heritage unit or something special like the Union Pacific 4014 Big Boy steam which I seriously need to get that video up. Description: Video Recorded August 23, 2024: These are a pair of different elevators here. I was mainly interested in the gated elevator and didn’t initially plan on filming the other elevator, but somehow decided to do so in one video. The second elevator seriously needs some oiling on the guiderails. Honestly, the gated elevator ran way better than the regular one. Anyways, this is basically the last elevator I filmed at Catholic University of America in the actual part of DC as a lot of the original elevators are in locked buildings. Caldwell Hall safely beats every amazing elevator here in this whole entire campus mainly because it is open and publicly accessible. The gate in 1920’s Otis elevator at Mullen Library was broken. Gated Elevator: Installed in between the 1910’s to 1930’s, modernized in the 90s. Regular Passenger Elevator: Installed in the 1990’s. Description: Video Recorded August 23, 2024: This could safely be a perfect match for Martin Luther King’s Day and we honor his life and legacy as he made history of the Civil Rights Movement. What a perfect way to celebrate MLK Day is a ride on an old vintage Westinghouse elevator with the original AE fixtures that is a black version, which is totally beyond rare! Notice that a couple of button pieces were replaced at a certain time. Definitely the second rarest Westinghouse elevator within the DC metro division area after the one I filmed in Bethesda with the triangle buttons. Installed in 1966. Interestingly enough, the rest of the upper floors are locked off and 12 is the highest we can go. Installed in 1969, modernized in the early 2000’s.
