Holding a sign that said, "God bless the homeless vets." The ladies in city hall didn't like him being there and asked Sgt. Hemminger, who was there on different business to remove him from the property. Sgt. Hemminger obliged and asked Jeff to leave. When Jeff didn't want to Sgt. Hemminger said that he was trespassing on (private property 🙄). When Sgt. Hemminger didn't like being challenged he called for backup, and they subsequently arrested Jeff for obstruction, and he was criminally trespassed from City hall. Well, Jeff doesn't like his civil rights being violated, so he and his attorneys from F.I.R.E. filed a lawsuit, and in the end, the city was forced to apologize for Sgt. Hemmingers unlawful actions & a settlement was reached. Jeff's attorney from F.I.R.E. said in a statement, "If police departments do not create a culture of respect for constitutional rights, their officers will view them as a "game." When police officers treat the constitution as a game, we all lose." The settlement was reached on November 21, 2023, where the city agreed to donate $1,791 to the National Coalition For Homeless Veterans. Jeff and his attorneys agreed to the same amount of $1,791 each because they didn't want the taxpayers to be severely punished for Sgt. Hemmingers actions. Even though Travis wasn't doing anything illegal. Officer Nadeau then proceeds to tell Travis that he is parked by a nearby open convenience store, and there were 3 robberies in the area, which is why he is contacting him. Over the course of the interaction, Officer Nadeau will tell Travis that he isn't suspected of committing a crime but wants Travis to ID himself even though he has no reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime committed by Travis. Officer Nadeau thinks that just because he is contacting Travis that he has to identify himself, which is false. However, if some of you aren't familiar with Travis' channel, he will willingly exchange his personal details with the cops if they return in kind. Which most of them don't want to do. Soon into the interaction, Officer Nadeau gets so frustrated with Travis not bowing down to his perceived authority that he tells Travis to leave "his city" like he owns the place. He then threatens to arrest Travis for obstruction for not helping the cop investigate him. Description: Today's video is a little different from my normal content. Before I started watching and reviewing 1st amendment audit videos and police interaction videos, all I watched was true crime. My go-to true crime channel was JCS Criminal Psychology. In this episode, JCS reveals two cases of two men who were guilty until proven innocent. In case 1, Michael Dickson was wrongfully arrested by Canadian cops who were chasing a small white man into an alley after a robbery. When Michael got off his bus after work and walked down the same alley, the cops arrested him. In his interrogation, the detective lies to him over and over about his involvement in the robbery. When it was all said and done, Michael spent 3 1/2 days in jail before another detective checked out his alibi and revealed the truth. The detectives who falsely arrested and interrogated him were suspended and demoted without pay. Michael eventually was a lawsuit for $46,000. In the 2nd case, a 26 year old named Justin was falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit. The cops who investigated the incident believed the woman who lied on him and Justin was falsely imprisoned for 2 years before he was exonerated when the woman who accused him was caught lying on the stand multiple times, and Justin was exonerated. These 2 cases are some of the most insane interrogations of incompetent cops that ruin lives and cost the taxpayers thousands for their incompetence. Description: On July 23, 2023, the Heard family was in Frisco, Texas, traveling out of state from Little Rock, Arkansas. They were pulling out of a hotel on their way to Dallas for a youth basketball tournament when they noticed a police car tailing them. While parked at their hotel, Frisco PD officer McQueen ran their plates because a lot of black chargers had been reported stolen in the area. When she did this, she mistakenly typed AZ for Arizona and not AR for Arkansas. When she entered the wrong state into the system, it flagged the car as stolen. Body cam footage released by the Frisco, Texas PD shows the felony stop conducted by Officer McQueen and her fellow officer. I have to note that once Officer McQueens' partner realizes her mistake, he descilates the situation. After the traffic stop was straight out, Mrs. Heard told the local media that Officer McQueen (the officer at fault) was very "dismissive" toward her husband's feelings following the realization of her error. As of Audist 2023, no disciplinary action has been taken against Officer McQueen for her negligence. I do not know if she is still employed by the department or not. Few updates to this case have been released, only that the Frisco, Texas PD has made a formal apology to the family. They continue with a fishing expedition for the ages lying to them about the smell of a controlled substance and a hunch of firearms in the vehicle that they have no proof that they exist. The two men get extracted from the vehicle, and Officer Thies illegally searches their rental car, violating their 4th amendment rights. In the end, Mr. Clinton & Mr. Little said in a lawsuit that they were racially profiled by the officers who pulled over their rental car for no aparrent reason and handcuffed one of them while searching their car without a warrant or probable cause. Officer Kyle Thies was aggressive from the outset. Furthermore, he found no weapons or drugs while detaining the men and made them empty a liquor bottle. They were let go without receiving any citations. Mr. Clinton & Little would sue the two officers claiming the officers racially profiled them during the traffic stop. The city of Des Moines, Iowa, would eventually end up paying $75,000 to settle the lawsuit. With Mr. Clinton and Mr. Little each receiving $25,000 each and their awyers representing them receiving the other $25,000.
