First up I'll take Bus Éireann from Westport to the lovely coastal town of Clifden, where I've got time to take a walk along the Sky Road. Then I'm back on the Citylink coach for the run on to Galway. Even on a dull autumnal day, this ride is truly stunning! Tralee/Limerick Junction/Waterford with Iarnród Éireann Description: This is one I've quite fancied for a while, the chance to use the train to go across the south of Ireland from Tralee to Waterford. Sadly, there's no longer a line along the south coast from Cork to Waterford, so we have to go via Limerick Junction. But that isn't such a bad thing, as that means we get to ride from Limerick Junction to Waterford on the route of the old Limerick and Waterford Railway. A route that only gets two trains each way on weekdays! Expect a lovely sunrise and then good weather, which will give us some fantastic train window views...
