In her latest research, Wallwork uncovered a relationship between a certain antibody (known as SSSCA1) and cancer development in individuals with systemic sclerosis. Those with both cancer and systemic sclerosis were significantly more likely to have this antibody, meaning it could serve as a possible biomarker.
