It is the stage when the initial euphoria of starting something hit rock bottom to a baseline reality. Making videos wasn't making me happy, and that's pretty odd. What do you do when you hate what you love. With that logic, can you enjoy anything else? I sat down with my friend Chris who gave me a good perspective on the trough of sorrow. It's going to happen in almost anything you start. The, why am I doing this? I don't see emotional or analytical results. I don't know what to say other than you have to give it time, and push through the trough, to really see if the results come in. There's no "certain" time to pack your bags and move on - but hopefully that day will be filled with objective hints rather than subjective emotions. This is how I dealt with the stress and anxiety of job applications. Background on me: I went to Rutgers University and studied Computer Science. I mainly applied to Software Engineering Jobs. It turned out job applications had a lot of unintended consequences. To help save people from the stress and anxiety, I share some tips in this video about how to stay healthy during the job and internship search. Although there are some funny remarks, this video touches on some very personal lessons that I learned while applying to jobs. The same goes for internships. I found that applying to jobs (for me) led to the development of a lot of toxic traits and habits. It brought up a lot of shame, stress, and anxiety - all of which I'm sure are intertwined. At the end of the day it's a lot of work and pressure to apply to jobs, we are not entitled to get a job. There's no secret tips or advice, it's simply hard work. All I can give to you is tips on how to deal with the side effects of job applications. Some of these tips include eating healthy, mindfulness, avoid multitasking, therapy, etc... Honestly this video was suppose to be really thoughtful and had a lot of additional footage But here we are. </video> <video> DJI Spark Drone Test Footage (with slight color correction) Description: Got some footage at the shore with my DJI Spark that I recently purchased from Amazon. It's a great deal for someone's first drone. It might feel like the short flight time is not long enough, but 12 minutes is usually plenty of time to get all the shots you need. Plus you can always recharge within an hour and go out again.
