Some of their connections between lines are long and laborious, but others are simple cross platform connections. One thing that amazed me was the incredibly low dwell time at the end of the lines. The operator drives his or her train in and gets off, and then they walk to the front of the station and get on the next train that arrives. It's an elegant choreographed dance! Waymo started operations in Chandler AZ a few years ago, and they now have expanded to Phoenix. They are also operating San Fransisco, Los Angeles on an invite only status as of January 2024.. I use Tesla's Full Self Driving (Beta) and I have confidence that they will succeed and launch a robot-taxi sometimes soon, but I really am impressed with the confidence that Waymo operates with!
