I also made it 4:3 because I find it surprisingly fitting. </video> <video> The New Norm (PC) Speedrun Glitchless%* 1:19.77 (Read Description) Description: This is The New Norm beaten in 1:19 with no glitches... except visual glitches. That's right, I think you've already noticed in several occasions that sometimes everything around jitters. The reason being it's because I turned on Low quality textures, because whoever coded this mess is not a very skilled one. In the PC edition there has been founds huge amounts of "if"s and "else"s in the code, and this game was made in 2024, after Yanderedev code was leaked and showed that this isn't an okay way to code the game, so you can't make any excuses. Either way, the gameplay parts are fine, I tried not to bump into accidental voids that sometimes appear in the game, they geniunely frustrate me, but gladly there were none of them in the speedrun. Strategy: You can control all adult characters, not just the Old Norm. Teenagers cannot be controlled, but there are chances that they could say something else and buy us sweet time. Starting the speedrun, you can instantly yell out "What's that?" after grabbing the beer to the daughter, because she doesn't even look at what you're actually doing. There could be more time saves here in the future, but that's what I found so far. After her answer to it, quickly rip off the intro and head to the entrance door so the House Arrest could react to it. It is required, otherwise the conversation between Norm and his daughter won't form. But once it does and she starts saying something, wait just for a few frames, and interrupt her, implying that Norm knows what she's gonna say. Next, make sure while the Norm is at the moment of talking to enter the house as Jennis. That will always be behind her before she enters the house, after which won't be able to be controlled. Ignore the House Arrest and That. Instead, make a talk between Jennis and Old Norm. After she says "Conditional parol" he should say "That's staying there?", as if he knew someone would come here to stay. This is crucial because else you're gonna have to listen to That's pronouns instead if you won't make up a realistic dialogue. Obviously, after that enter the house as Charlie, and do a friendly "handshake" between him and the Norm. Now, after that is luck. There's 1/5 chance that Pronoun will instead of asking "You're black?" would retaliate and say "You're his friend?" to not sound too racist. Now, the little conversation about trophey shop between friends can't be skipped without any glitches, so I had to wait for a bit. Jennis will automatically say about Chas re-educating Norm. Don't create any jokes, just wait until the dog would come up to That faster because of awkward silence... maybe not because of that, but do I really care honestly? Interrupt Norm's daughter as Charlie after she says that it's a "emotional support dog". If done too early, she would get angry and it'll take 20 seconds for her to shut up. Then Charlie would automatically start a conversation about his boy. Interrupt with Jennis and her daughter (which would be following her before) after he says it with "Reggie?", so he could answer to the girls, ending the dialogue. Finally, grab the beer, call out the "pronoun" as the Norm, and throw the beer at them. After that, in 99% of situations he'll drop the beer to you, so you could then grab it again and open it. The reason that we're throwing the beer at That is that it'll make the beer inside more intense, so when you open it Norm will be showered by it. Otherwise, if we try to just open it, it'll open normally, not giving us the fastest ending. It being "You know, there would be jokes" ending, where it abruptly ends, after you say it as Charlie. I might have made some f-ups, like going into the next segment too late/early, but it's because i'm kinda new to the speedrunning.
