I noticed a citation fluttering in the wind at this particular house on my way to the shop. Curious, I stopped and knocked on the door, but no one answered. I then went to the neighbor's house to ask about the situation. The neighbor told me that the elderly lady who lived there was a former juvenile judge who had recently passed away, and the lawn hadn't been mowed since. I explained my work to him and asked if he would mind if I took care of the lawn. His response was priceless. They told me about an elderly woman in our community who was on the brink of eviction due to a citation for her overgrown lawn. Her yard had become completely overtaken by brush and shrubs, and she couldn’t afford to pay for the extensive cleanup it needed. This woman, who is bedridden due to health issues, had been struggling to keep up with the demands of her yard. Her current lawn care provider was charging her $80 just to mow the lawn, and that didn’t include trimming the overgrown shrubs or cutting back the invasive brush surrounding her property. With no family or friends able to help her, she was left feeling hopeless. When I heard her story, I knew I had to step in. I gave her a call and explained that I would take care of the entire yard cleanup free of charge. Her reaction was priceless—she was THRILLED and couldn’t believe someone would go out of their way to help her like this. In this video, you’ll see me tackle her yard, which was one of the most overgrown properties I’ve ever worked on. From cutting back massive shrubs to clearing dense brush, I gave it everything I had to transform her yard into a clean and livable space again. She explained that three autistic men lived there and that she worked for a service that visited daily to assist them with household chores and ensure they were okay. However, mowing the lawn wasn't one of those chores. This video is a perfect example of why I do what I do. Helping these three gentlemen by getting their yard back in shape so they could manage it for the rest of the season was incredibly rewarding. A local lawn care company reached out to me about a lady in our community who has been going through incredibly tough times. Her lawn had become wildly overgrown, and they thought I could help.
