Description: My interest in asymmetrical surfboards was seriously awakened by watching Josh Kerr and Mike February on twins at J Bay during the WSL Speciality Event held at J Bay this year. I was also so impressed by Bryce Young and company surfing some very alternate surfboards at J Bay this year. The speed these guys were generating was mind blowing. As an older surfer speed is one of the things that we struggle to generate as we age and slow down. That slowing down started me on a quest to try different equipment and when Mike Ginsberg got me onto a Firewire Mash-up, it was the catalyst that fanned the flames and made me change the equipment that I am riding.
