Only Boys Aloud is facilitated by The Aloud Charity, and is a free, non-audition group made up from young singers from across Wales. Only Boys Aloud was born from a desire to encourage young Welsh men to be ambitious for their future and equipped with the life skills to fulfil their potential. OBA currently comprises 100 boys across 5 choirs, who meet weekly during term time at locations across South Wales. Open to any boy between the ages of 11-19, there is no audition and no fee. Each year, the successful applicants receive one of the highly sought-after places on this unique residential course. In making music, not in unison, as other do, but in parts, in many modes and modulations, they sing. Whenever in a crowd there is singing, as amongst this people is the custom, as many heads as you may see, so many different song and various voices you will hear.
