For the vegetarian, there are many plant based options like spinach, kale, swiss chard, whole legumes, lentils. There are other fruits and seeds which you can do. Peanuts, cashews are excellent source. Dates, black raisins, a very, very good source of iron. For the non vegetarian, also include seafood, red meat in your diet which are rich in heme iron and they can easily be absorbed by the body. In addition to including diet iron rich food, consider enhancing the absorption of iron by including vitamin C rich food in your diet, which one of the easiest sources of lemon, or having a lemonade with iron rich food can help in absorption of iron. The other important things which we can consider is cooking the vessels. Your cooking vessels try to switch to iron vessels for cooking whenever you can. And also avoiding tea or coffee when they are rich in tannins which can inhibit the absorption of iron. I'll say it takes about one to two weeks after having the endometriosis surgery. The important thing is that you should be off the narcotics, you should be able to turn around and put your feet on the brake to apply them. It is a very, very common problem, but it's often ignored because of the lack of awareness among women as to what is normal, what is abnormal. As well as there's a lot of social and cultural taboos where women don't feel comfortable talking about their menstrual cycle among themselves or even to their physicians. Let's see why it should not be ignored. We know that heavy menstrual bleeding can be very disruptive to your normal life. Nobody likes going to the bathroom every two hours, changing the pads every two hours, soaking through the pads in public or soaking through your clothes . It's very, very disruptive to your life. Not only that, it can also cause iron deficiency anemia. And we know that this can affect women's health in many ways. It can cause shortness of breath, weakness, extreme fatigue, hair loss. And in extreme cases, it can also cause heart failure and it can also affect the pregnancy outcomes. If women is having iron deficiency anemia, they can also affect pregnancy outcomes. So let's not ignore the heavy menstrual bleeding. We analyzed 961 patients ages 18 to 70 with vaginismus, and vaginismus affects up to 17% of women. Very common sexual health issue, really secondary involuntary muscle spasm of the pelvic floor musculature. Leading to difficulties and pain sometimes with intercourse. So after being treated with the PRM Protocol™, these 961 women, almost a thousand patients, noted a 46% improvement in their pain with intercourse. They noticed a 25% improvement in the sexual female pain questionnaire and a 50% improvement in their overall pelvic function, noting intercourse, bowel, and bladder. Number one, endometriosis surgery can be both excision surgery as well as ablative surgery. While ablative surgery involves just burning the lesion, excision surgery is actually removing the disease from its roots. So always talk to your surgeon regarding what kind of surgery they're doing and always, always choose excision surgery over ablative surgery. Number two, endometriosis is a whole body disease. You should talk to your surgeon about if they're comfortable operating outside the pelvis, which can involve the diaphragm, the appendix, the small bowel, the large bowels, or even the abdominal wall.
