I then visit the village of Andaj, where I am given a village tour with the village leader. He also shows me beautiful scenery that includes a river and a mountain full of small caves! Here I meet more locals who camp inside one of the caves and eat Iranian food. Baker appears here, of course, before meeting the Qazvin locals at the beautiful Lake Evan. Description: ❤️ Don't trust the media... Damascus, Syria is not a war zone and has so much to see and do in 2025. But please do your own research as I went during more stable times and safety in Syria can change quickly. In my last video we explored the UNESCO World Heritage Damascus Old City, the 8,000 year old "Oldest Continuously Inhabited City in the World". But Damascus has grown over the years and has a thriving MODERN side. In today's video we go shopping for luxury clothing at Cham City Center Mall, the most modern and most popular shopping mall in Syria. Then we check out the famous "Damascene Sword", the symbol of Damascus City, before relaxing in GREEN Al-Nairabin Park, situated in one of the more affluent neighborhoods in Damascus. After a crazy van ride, we climb 650 stairs up Qasioun Mountain for a killer view of the city with some adorable kids. Back in the Old City of Damascus, I'm treated to a FREE HAMMAM visit by the owner of the nicest hotel in Syria, Dar Al Mamlouka. What a treat to stay in a converted old mansion with carved wooden ceilings! After dark I explore Damascus on my own and feel completely SAFE. The people are awesome and I'm offered free food and invited to have some drinks with some locals. I love Syria and hope this video shows you a side of the country you never knew existed! How do I describe it? You're gonna just need to watch to see! Dating back to the Safavid era, the 700 year old Sheikh Safi al-Din Shrine includes a mosque, sufi tomb, library, school, and a mausoleum. It showcases an intricate blend of Islamic architecture and Persian culture from the start of the Safavid Dynasty including exquisite tilework and calligraphy. Next we visit Shar Yeri, an 8,000 year old ancient persian civilization that was only just recently discovered. Here i found fascinating stone figurines of people who mysteriously are missing mouths! Finally, I braved the Meshginshahr Suspension Bridge. Meshginshahr is one of the Ardabil province cities with pristine nature and a cool climate. Measuring 365 m long, 80m high, the bridge crosses the Khiav River and Meshginshahr Forest Park. It’s also known as one of the largest suspension bridges in the Middle East. Ardabil was one of my FAVORITE DESTINATIONS from my 24 DAYS In IRAN. Description: ❤️ DON'T TRUST THE MEDIA... All of Syria was not a war zone and in 2025 Syria is FREE! Travel to the Mediterranean Coast and you'll find TARTUS, the SAFEST city in SYRIA. There's so many places to see and things to do in Tartus, Syria in 2025 and this Syria video shows you the highlights in 24 hours! **Please do your own research as I went during more stable times and safety in Syria can change quickly** On a Walking Tour of Tartus I discovered the OLD CITY of Tartus, which on the outside is beautifully restored gate, but inside the houses are crumbling. There I met so many cute kids who I later found again swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. 5,000 year old ARWAD ISLAND is Syria's only inhabited island. There I explored the Arwad Citadel and Arwad Prison before walking along the ruined city walls, having freshly caught CHILI TUNA for lunch and getting very silly with the island kids (have you ever shouted "bread on the head"?) Back on the mainland I visited KRAK de CHEVELIERS, one of the most important preserved medieval castles in the world, and was once home to over 2,00 crusaders. It's one of many UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Syria. Nearby AMRIT is the sister city to Arwad. Built by the Phoenicians 5,000 years ago, here I found the super well preserved ruins of a massive temple. I also visited a gladiator stadium that predates the Colosseum in Rome / Acropolis in Greece. Some say that the Olympic Games actually started right here in Syria! My last stop in Amrit was the Necropolis, where I found massively tall burial tombs. So cool to have this place entirely to myself! In the souk I found the Khan Asaad Basha Caravanserai. This gorgeous white limestone and black basalt old trading post was a fixture on the Silk Road for centuries and is THE most beautiful place in Old Damascus. OMAYYAD Mosque vies for the title of OLDEST MOSQUE in the World. AZM Palace is an Ottoman Era mansion and is now a museum showing how Damascus VIP's lived. Both are some of the most popular things to see in Damascus. The BEST PART OF DAMASCUS? The FOOD! I loved Old Town Damascus and want to visit again, but now is not the time. Hopefully i can travel to Syria in 2025. In this Kashan, Iran video I show the most opulent traditional Persian mansions like the Tabatabaei House which along with the historical Borujerdi House, Ameri House, and Raheb Houses provide a window into the way of life for rich and famous traders in ancient Iran. Situated halfway between Tehran and Isfahan, 7500-year-old Kashan City was among the first human settlements. There are many places to go and things to do in Kashan, Iran. Along with a historical house tour, you can also visit a Rosewater Distillery and taste the different types of rose water that they also use for cooking rosewater rice and many Persian desserts. Two of my favorite tourist attractions in Kashan were: Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse: Also known as the Qasemi Bathhouse, this is the most beautiful hamman I've ever seen and was constructed in the 16th century, during the Safavid era Three of the most striking features are the octagonal dressing area (Sarbineh), the hot bathing hall (Garmkhaneh) and the artistic rooftop. Here I met the cutest Iranian girl in the world! Fin Garden: This beautiful Iranian Garden is One of 9 UNESCO Persian Gardens in the World. No Kashan trip or tour would be complete without taking a walking tour of the Fin Garden and checking out the two insanely beautiful water pavillions. Description: Travel to Maaloula, Syria in 2025 and you will find people speaking Aramaic, one of the world's oldest languages and thought to be the "language of Jesus". It's here that the "Battle of Maloula" took place in 2013. The predominantly Christian community suffered horribly as did the Church of Saint Thecla, named after the famous a disciple of Paul the Apostle. Thecla was a woman born to a rich family who gave up a life of material possessions, choosing chastity over marriage and simplicity over nobility. Here's Why! Description: ❤️ DON'T TRUST THE MEDIA... IRAN is BEAUTIFUL! Travel to Isfahan in 2025 and you'll find a city full of incredible places to visit and things to do. . In this Isfahan City video we start at the Abassi Hotel, an converted Caravanserai from the Silk Road. Then we visit the Si-o-Se-Pol Bridge on the Zayanderud River, where Soheil, my guide, had an ACCIDENT. Next I visited Naqsh-e Jahan Square, or "Half of the World". This is the largest square in all of Iran and contains the Grand Bazaar and the Jame Mosque. Here I also visited Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Shah Jahan's private mosque and what some call "the most beautiful mosque in the world". In the evening we had dinner on Chahar Bagh Street, the green part of town where everyone comes out to socialize at night. But my FAVORITE PLACE in Isfahan was the 40 Pillar Palace, a magnificent UNESCO palace and Persian garden. Then we crossed town to the Armenian Quarter to see the Vank Cathedral. I had no idea that you could find such an incredible church in Iran! The Armenian Quarter is also great for shopping and I met some lovely Iranians in the shops which sold "best copy" fake Louis Vuitton, Gucci and more! I even had a chance to interview some taxi drivers about their thoughts on America, so you're not going to want to miss this, my favorite Iran video so far!
