The 8 foot long saw can reach as high as 20 feet when it is attached to a front end loader on a tractor or skid steer. Aside from being convenient to cut off high tree limbs it is of course much safer to operate when compared to a chain saw. It only weighs 86 pounds and its hydraulic motor only requires a flow of 7 gallons per minute. One of the more popular crops is barley. The family has developed a snack food product that is being made with barley flour from their farm. The 105 self propelled John Deere combine is very much like the real thing with a detachable header. The combine can auger grain from the tank into 1/5th scale grain cart. In fact, Bernie's machinery is so realistic, the John Deere equipment was built with a licensing agreement authorized by John Deere corporate office. They raise their hogs in a open pasture setting with no medication. The variety known as AC Saltender is a type of intermediate wheat grass that will flourish in soils where only weed grasses like Foxtail Barley and Kochia prevail. The 27 foot unit is designed to move high volumes of water over relatively short distances. At the time of our visit in 2011 he had just developed the high capacity Nova XP-820 air cart and seeder. The 80 and 90 foot wide drill systems are also equipped with precise metering systems that can handle fertilizer rates ranging from 10 pounds to 500 pounds per acre. Aside from successfully growing a number of apple varieties developed by the University of Saskatchewan for the harsh Canadian prairie climate, they also built an apple crushing press which allows them to produce apple cider products. </video>
