This was a monster of a roof clean, with mega moss taking over the roof. This roof was getting so badly infested with moss, the tiles were starting to spall (break into smaller pieces). If left much longer, within a few years, this lovely couple, Vic & Val, would have no doubt needed to have had most of the roof tiles replaced. Today's video is a paid driveway cleaning job that I carried out for a lovely elderly lady that got in contact with me to have her driveway cleaned for the first time ever. This driveway is a whopping 52 years old, and is in serious need of a deep clean and re-sand. This was a bad one that was full of moss and grime, that created a huge amount of slop, I took away 2 full bags of muck for disposal, which for a driveway this size is a LOT. This is quite a satisfying transformation, and considering how filthy, and how old the drive is, it cleaned up pretty nicely. Although this time I wasn't being soaked with none stop rain, the amount of waste created, and having to wrestle with a small tree from the lack of having the correct equipment, turned this into a day of hard graft......but hey, who's complaining, not me 😉. Anyway, I managed to get the bushes tamed and under control, then clean and treat the driveway, then have a rinse down and tidy up just in time before it got dark. The front garden is much more manageable for this lady, and her driveway & path are no longer a dark, dingy slip hazard. A huge thank you shout out to Garry, this ladies neighbour, for allowing me to use his water when there was a problem with hers. So this was the last job I did of 2024, a roof cleaning job for a lovely old couple in Cambridge. Not my usual roof clean, as the majority of roof cleaning work I carry out is roof washing. The owners of this property specifically asked for scraping, which I do much less of, but am still happy to carry out if asked. Roof scraping never looks as aesthetically pleasing as washing to start with, but the look of the roof will improve over the coming months as any dead organic growth starts to weather away. Description: #prestigeexternalcleaning #gardencare #freecleaning Hey everyone, welcome to the video that i've been wanting to share with you for a while. This job came about because I was working for the neighbour of the lady who owns this property, when I was cleaning his roof. My customer, Garry, lives opposite, and kindly keeps an eye out for this lady, goes shopping for her when needed, and generally just makes sure she's looked out for, what a lovely guy. When I first noticed the property I asked Garry if it was abandoned or was there someone living there that couldn't handle the garden anymore. It turned out to be the latter. So I said did he think she would like some help, free of charge, and if so, would she mind if I could record the work I was doing to show you guys on YouTube. He thought that she'd be grateful for the work, and didn't think she would turn the offer down, but of course he would have to ask her first, then let me know. So after a few emails back and forth with Garry, we got a date firmly booked in the diary. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get there quickly, as i'm normally booked up by 6-8 weeks in advance at any given time of the year. I thought (naively) that I could get the garden work and pressure washing work carried out in one day, meaning one video, but clearly I underestimated the amount of clearance that needed doing, so I only managed to clear the larger part of the garden, but another smaller area needs clearing, plus the driveway still needs cleaning. Again, unfortunately I can only get back here when i've got some free time around my business and paying jobs, which won't be until the beginning of November at the earliest.
