A slide is a ghost screen like pick-and-pop. Where the screener slides out of the screen to get some separation. The purpose is to create defensive confusion that may lead to a penetration opportunity or pick and pop shot. It behaves like a ball screen and fits well into a dribble drive motion offense as well.
