About the Floating Candles 🕯️: Thanks to the engineering minds of Brydan, Devon, and Leith, each candle is rigged up on an individual motor that is coded to raise and lower it at a randomized interval. The combined effect of all 120 candles across four rigs makes it look like they're all floating! All of the different playing techniques we use: -Plucking/Picking: using a fingernail or guitar pick to pluck/pick the string to get a sharper, more metallic sound. If you look closely, you'll see an elaborate system in which we labeled the hammers with their corresponding names and a unique color so we would know where to play from inside the piano! | Fireworks, Voldemort's Theme, Harry's Wondrous World (muted plucks), Dumbledore's Army, A Change In Season Reprise, Fawkes is Reborn, Hedwig's Theme, Leaving Hogwarts -String Strikes: using the butt of a drumstick to tap on a note, achieving a more percussive sound | Fireworks, Dumbledore's Army -String Taps: using glockenspiel mallets to gently tap on the string to get a softer, more gentle sound.
