The Glycerin 22 continues those aspects of the shoe but features a few updates to improve the ride. The biggest of those is an updated midsole made from the brand’s new DNA Tuned foam, the same used in the Brooks Glycerin Max, that combines larger foam cells in the heel for a softer landing and smaller cells in the forefoot for increased energy at toe-off. The Brooks Glycerin Max takes the fundamentals of the popular Glycerin line and beefs up the midsole with the brand's newest foam, DNA Tuned. The most important of those is an increase in the stack height of FF Blast Eco midsole foam by 2mm to add even more cushioning to the ride. The other is a newly engineered jacquard mesh upper to improve comfort and breathability. The Saucony Hurricane 24 is a high-stack cushioned running shoe that provides stability through a wide platform and high sidewalls. The midsole is a dual layer, combining the soft, bouncy PWRRUN PB found in some of the brand’s performance shoes and a lower layer of PWRRUN to improve support and durability. Those foams work alongside a rocker design to give a smooth heel-to-toe transition.
