We started our trip in the town of Tauranga, where we rented a Toyota Fortuner SUV. This was the perfect vehicle for our road trip, as it was spacious enough for our luggage and comfortable enough for long drives. We then headed north along the coast, stopping at several beaches along the way. Some of our favorites included Whangamata, Whitianga, and Cathedral Cove. After spending a few days exploring the coast, we headed inland to the Coromandel Mountains. We drove along winding roads through dense rainforests and past towering mountains. We also stopped at several waterfalls, including Bridal Veil Falls and Waitomo Falls. We ended our trip in the town of Coromandel Town, where we enjoyed a few days of rest and relaxation.
