It's breathtaking as well as life threatening. We left base camp of #rattigali lake for gattyan trek at 0630 hrs in the morning. Horses dropped us at a point after two hrs beyond where the horses couldn't hike, so we started trekking. About after 2 hrs of laborious and lovely trekking, we reached at a mountain pass named "Gali" with a thought to have a view of gattian lake from pass but to our surprise, there was no lake on the other side. We, the three friends, were nearly disappointed, and two of us decided to give up here because the trekking ahead was seemingly too dangerous and difficult with a slope of around 75 degrees with rocks and stones all around. It was a valley of death when we looked from elevation. I, with the guide "Bilal," decided to descent in this valley of death. After descending a wall of around 500~600 feet, there was a huge glacier to walk over. After slipping once, each step was taken very carefully. Glacier ended, but the trekking ahead was very dangerous, with 1000s of feet down at one side, and there was merely a space to fix the footsteps. With all these threats, we continued and reached a point where I could have a complete view of the lake. Aah, it was so beautiful. We kept sitting there for half an hr and left. At the mountain pass on return, the weather was too cold and my friends had gone back . We were charged 800 rupees each for the horses. The journey from Islamabad takes only 3.5 hrs to Kiwai and from Kiwai. Jeep takes us to the dense forest of Sharan in just 1.5 hrs. There are luxurious glamping options for family as well as bachelors. Jeep track is deadly and dangerous, but Jeep's drivers are really expert. Jeep can be hired from Kiwai and own car can be parked in the paid parking at main road of Kiwai. They charge a minimum 8000 rupees for a round trip however its your negotiation skills that how much they reduce the fare. We can reach at the first glamping resort in 1.5 hrs. It's a beautiful place on the hill top where we can have a drone view of #Kaghan valley from 3000 ft high above the valley. The rooms here are charged 10 to 12000 rupees during summer. However, they remain closed in winters. Further, deep in the forest, some glamping pods are also placed by the KP government. wherever you intend to stay, just pre book the rooms to avoid chances of unavailability upon arrival. This place is the most beautiful, silent, and peaceful place of Sharan forest. Things to do in the forest are: Trekking to Sharan waterfall, 40 minutes trek from glamping site and trekking to #Manshi top that is 3 hrs hike from base camp (glamping site). Waterfall amid forest looks like a miracle of nature, and the view of Musa ka musalla mountain range from manshi top is epic of Sharan forest. Don't miss it. Flora and Fauna of the forest is at peak during the months of June, July, and August. The best thing you can do is cook amid silence and peace of the forest. The loveliest trekking and hiking that literally exists on earth is hiking to #nanga_parbat base camp. Starting from the forest of fairy meadows, there comes the meadows of #beyal_camp, the dangerous track with unique views of the second highest mountain of Pakistan and then meadows of base camp on the way. From fairy meadows, it takes around 2.5 hrs to beyal camp, further 1.5 hr to nanga parbat view point and then 3 hrs to base camp. While taking rest multiple times on the way, one can make it to the base camp in 7 hrs from #fairy_meadows. Almost the same time is consumed while returning back to fairy meadows. To complete the track in one day, get up at 5 am in the morning, have a unique view of Nanga Parbat at the time of sun rise, and start trekking while targeting a breakfast at beyal Camp Following this plan, this track can be completed in 14 hrs, and you can return to fairy meadows before the day light ends. It was difficult to decide at the viewpoint whether to continue for base camp or not. It was like now or never, so we continued and completed this ultimately beautiful track with no regrets Alhamdulillah, and it was a lifetime experience. View of the killer mountain from base camp is like a wall of 16000 feet height, sometimes looks like a painting sketched by the creator and filled with colours. Covered with thundering clouds and moving glaciers, the noise of waterfalls and avalanches multiplies the beauty of silence at the base camp. There were eight different colours of flowers in the meadows, including red, yellow, brown, blue, green, purple, white, and shades of colours. Everything is just organic with no human interference. Never to be forgotten, the base camp hiking. Filled with the dark and black surroundings, one hr trekking amid dense forest of beyal camp to fairy meadows was like, "O man, why we came here?" But ... literally ... It takes more than two hrs to reach the base camp from dowarian and there are plenty of camps there at cheap rates. One can get for just rupees 2000 after a bit negotiation. From the base camp, it just takes 45 minutes to trek to the lake. Riding on a horse up to the lake may just take 25 minutes. I would prefer walking. Cabbies charge 500 for a horse for one sided track. Lake is beautiful and located at height of 12500 feet above sea level. Local people keep on cleaning the meadows besides the lake from litter and burn it there. It was good gesture because meadows were free from any kind of litter usually the tourists leave. The best view of the lake can be observed from a hiking of half an hr at the left side hill of the lake. It's something unbelievable, but I bet no one in the world would have seen kaghan Valley as much as I did. Be it the lakes, the forests, waterfalls, and the mountain tops like makra peak, musa ka musalla, manshi top. Greater kaghan beholds 100s of valleys that are too scenic to see. Manoor Valley, Danna meadows, Ghanol Valley, Sharan Forest, and makra peak base camp are a few of them. Lulsar Lake is the largest lake of kaghan Valley and attracts 1000s of tourists each year. Other lakes include saiful malook, dharamsar, sambaksar, ansu lake and many more. All these valleys, forests, and lakes have been shown in the video. People of #Kaghan valley are too hospitable and take care of their guests who visit as tourists. There are number of hotels at rakaposhi view point and night can be spent there. After having a round of it, I got a feel of pearl continental, not really that much but in the far-off village (Minapin) of #gilgitbaltistan, we found it a good one. Osho Thang is famous for its specialty dish "Gurkun" that is basically a mutton curry cooked in the pot made of stone. It was another new thing for me at least, cooking in the pot of carved stone..wow. Well, it was delicious and I had a bellyful dinner. Rent for a family room is 16000 rupees, fair enough and rooms condition is up to a good level of choice. Since we were having a trip with friends so just finished the dinner and moved to Rakaposhi viewpoint on main Karakorum highway where we got a room for 4000 rupees only. whoa :D. There are some lovely spots near this hotel. we happened to visit only #miacher Kho where Rakaposhi is standing tall with its full allure. SubhanAllah. The other points are world's highest cricket stadium and rakaposhi base camp and we left them for the next trip to Nagar valley. </video> <video> What to do at Attabad Lake | Hunza | Gilgit Baltistan Description: I found #attabadlake a biggest attraction of #hunza where 100s of tourists can be obeserved at one time. Reason is the activities for tourists developed by mostly the local community. Jet ski, boating, zip line are three main while there is a potential of sky diving, para trooping as well along with many other water sports. I hope they would be following all the safety standards and GB government should also keep a check to validate the equipment being used for these activities. It's a wonderful place with unique color, that color comes from its motionless water. Such a big volume of the lake presents it as it's not flowing and this is reason of its unique color, the deeper the greener. It's length and it's turns through the mountians of #karakorum give it a look of amazon river. First time in 2015, we crossed this lake on a motor boat in 35 minutes but now, tunnels have made this travel quite easy. I would love to book a ride for a complete round of the lake again, the next time. Every time, hiking to Fairy meadows gives such a refreshing feeling and a positive energy. Jeep can be hired from Raikot for 16000 rupees for a round trip of Tatto village. They took 10000 advance and 6000 when we returned back to Raikot. The journey of two hrs from Raikot to Tatto village is the Deadliest and bones breaking journey throughout with 1000s of feet depth and one side and sliding rocks on the other side. I must say this road is the bigger wonder than the fairy meadows itself. Travelling on this road is the best ever road trip. After the jeep track, there comes hiking. Horses are also available for 5000 rupees each however we decided to trek. That was a wonderful experience every time I visited #fairy_meadows. awesome weather right from Tatto village (7000 ft), noise of water stream, Nanga Parbat view throughout the trekking, narrow path with 100s feet depth at one side and peace of the place freshens up the soul. There are a couple of munching shops on the trekking route where tea, water, and soft drinks are available. Almost 1.5 hrs trekking is in the forest with absolute silence so try to complete before the night falls so you can enjoy serene views as well. There are many hotels and camps in the meadows, Infact meadow's area is covered with tents and hotels. No pre booking is required. We spent a peaceful night at the base camp and started our trekking to the lake early in the morning. It took only 45 minutes to trek to the lake. The early morning view was awesome, and the lake water was crystallized due to extremely low temperature. Patlian Lake is 13500 feet above sea level, and there is a deficiency of oxygen due to low atmospheric pressure. During trekking and while sleeping at night, we experienced headaches due to low oxygen. There are a number of camps at the base camp and we got one for three people for just 3000 rupees.
