Description: Will an affordable machine be able to uncover any treasure in the sand? Hey! Metal Detecting with a $200 metal detector on the beach to see how it performs, this machine is called the Nokta Simplex Lite. Sometimes the cheap metal detectors don't do so well when it comes to salt water or mineralized sand... this area has both and it seemed to handle pretty well, it's hard to know how it will do on a beach near you. It's simple enough to operate with only a few settings to work with which can be a benefit and a curse, it's nice to turn on and go but sometimes you want just a little bit more in terms of adjustability. (Tones, iron volume, frequency, comfort things) For the most part being that it has a small coil and is only running a single frequency it seemed to do pretty good on the sand, we'll give it a try at a few different locations down the line to see how it handles different ground.
