Description: Stellantis is in a bad spot right now... If things continue with the current trajectory, they will undoubestly find themselves filing for bankruptcy. Next step in this downward spiral would be Stellantis cutting a few of their 14 brands, whether it's Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, Fiat, etc... They will need to trim the fat. The CEO of Stellantis announced his retirement, which could only prove to be a good thing for the brand. Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler are struggling so badly right now, something has got to give... and soon! Jeep in particular is sounding the alarm on the car market, the brand is a sinking ship. Just cashing in on carbon credits. - Quality of my $100K Wrangler had numerous paint defects. - Jeep dodge Ram Chrysler dealers are getting desperate! - I got $11,500 off and $9000 over trade in value for my Sequoia. Nearly a $20K gap. - Inventory level is impossible to hide now. - 2025s are rolling in… prices of 24s need to drop and fast! And 23s in many cases. - Jeep dodge ram… cut production by 200K vehicles in the last quarter of this year. - People aren’t buying… supply has far exceeded demand. Simple economics. - Every new vehicle can be discounted in a huge way… even Raptors (37pp example) - Bronco Raptors dropping $15-20K off! - Used values have been decimated… terrible trade in values. - Stellantis has taken the top spot in recalls too (Ram in particular)… beating Ford. - Dealer inventories have been overrun… backlots are filled. Floorplan costs have gotten unbearable for so many dealers. - Prices of vehicles are falling but negative equity continues to grow. Now over $7300 average… - More lease options available now. Need to move the inventory. - 2 types of Dealers that are succeeding now: 1) cutting losses early… 2) ones that didn’t charge markups during Covid… kept their loyal customers and treated them right. - Let’s face it… MSRPs have gone up over 42% since 2019… wages have not kept up. - The ugly ripple effect: the consumer is no longer buying… which leads to heightened inventory levels… which leads to dealers turning down allocations… which leads to manufacturers cutting production quotas… which leads to layoffs… which leads to a crippled economy… which leads to government bailouts. It’s a cyclical downward spiral. - Something has got to give soon… interest rates are awful, insurance premiums are unbearable, and the cost of living has gotten out of touch with reality. - IF you need a vehicle, expect a great discount and incentivized interest rate. - You’re in the driver seat. This is good for the consumer… dealers NEED to move their inventory due to flooring costs. - Cost of living is playing a vital role: Mortgage payments, rent payments, mortgage insurance, cost of groceries, etc… - Trade ins and used cars are bringing terrible figures right now. - Used vehicle prices are having to fall. - Tundras are sitting nationwide for 200-250 days… up to 300. Which is why Toyota dealers are getting desperate …$12K off. Not enough. - Average Negative equity is $7200 per vehicle in the US. - 1 out 5 consumers with negative equity owe $10K more on their auto loan than what the vehicle is currently worth. - Auto loan debt is at a record high right now. - Outside of Tesla, EV sales have totally crapped the bed. Even Tesla prices have fallen a ton. - Desirable vehicles are coming with huge discounts… personally I’ve struggled so much to avoid buying a Raptor 37… $7500 off MSRP now. TRD pro Tacomas are commonly priced at 4K off. Trailhunters 4K off… Raptor Rs are teetering closer to MSRP by the day. Ram TRXs Final Editions 12-15K off MSRP. Bronco Raptors 15-20K off MSRP. Jeep wrangler 392 final edition 8-12K off MSRP. - So many high trimmed vehicles because they bring in the largest profit margin… - People always low specced affordable vehicles. Reliable, simple, affordable. - No more markups. Dealers can’t justify markups because lenders won’t approve inflated loans. Dealerships across the nation are finding themselves in a very tight spot. Many of them are being left with no choice but to close their doors... for good. If vehicles are stacking up on lots, that's costing the dealership a ton of money month to month. That adds up, fast. If they can't sell cars, bankruptcy becomes the only way out. They are at a breaking point now, a crucial point in time where they can pivot back to their core values, or continue on their awful trajectory. In today's video, I talk through the following points: - For the first time ever, Toyota dealers are needing to turn away allocations - Tacoma and Tundra sales are extremely bleak - 21.4% combined average drop in sales the last 3 months - Consecutive decline in sales for the brand month to month. - Toyota has forced smaller displacement, turbocharged hybrid motors down our throats. - Toyota forgot who their target demographic is… blue collar working class that actually enjoys working on their own vehicles. - Their demographic wants 3 things: 1. Reliability, Simplicity and Affordability - Toyota went all in on outsourcing production to maximize profit margins and getting green credits from the US Government. - Tacoma moved entirely to Mexico… this historically has been Toyota’s cash cow for US Market. - Normal is 250K per year… so far in 24… 145K. Not on track to match. - Tacomas generally account for 10-12% of all vehicle sold in US each year. - Toyota saves roughly 80% in labor costs by moving production to Mexico. Then hiked prices up 20-25%. Acted as if we wouldn’t notice… - “It’s not about where it’s made…” Chinese made Toyotas sound okay to you? - Can’t tout Tundra sales when they’re having to slash prices by 10-12K and give 0-1.9% interest rates. - The BMW Supra has been pretty lackluster… - GR Corolla has reported far too many engine failures and engines catching fire (under normal driving conditions) - Reports of Toyota voiding warranty claims if you’ve driven over 85mph… some claim the threshold is 100. Regardless, the fact that that is a point of discussion for a sport hatch like the GR is ridiculous. - President Trump has made it clear that he’ll be adding tariffs on most imported goods. Specifically talking about adding a 100% tariff on auto manufacturers who moved production to - This won’t spike prices more. Why? Because they’re not evening selling at their current ridiculous prices. They’ll just profit a little less if they decide to keep production in Mexico. - Intent is to move production jobs back to the US. - Toyota PR cats were asking me to come to their events after they saw my Tacomas Dead video. - Until Toyota makes a notable shift back to their core values, I will never buy another new gen Toyota ever again. - Reliability is no longer there… - Simplicity is no longer there… - Affordability is no longer there… - Resale values are no longer there… - Can’t claim they’re doing it for “the environment” until you’ve done some research into what goes into the extraction, production and disposal of their battery packs. In this video I talk through he following points: - 2023 and 2024 models are still covering lots… 25s are now arriving. - Lot rot becomes a point of consideration - Large price cuts must happen - During pandemic we’ve normalized high car payments and overspending - Discounts are happening on vehicles that were recently marked up! - Raptors, Bronco Raptors, TRD Pros, TRXs, Escalades, Yukon XL Ultimate Editions, gx550 Overtrails, etc.. - Huge discounts mean nothing if your Trade In value went down even more than the savings… - $10-15K off a vehicle that’s overpriced by 30K still isn’t a win. - Stellantis CEO recently resigned… laid off thousands of employees… - Nissan to layoff off 9K people. - Many dealers are losing money month to month. More than 50% of Nissan dealers - Dozens of dealerships that have been around for a long time have closed their doors this year. Ford, Lincoln, GM, Jeep Dodge Ram, Fiat, etc… they just can’t stay afloat. - They redirect inventory to higher turnover locations under the franchise. - Vehicle manufacturers are still living under the pandemic fassad… inflated price tags on everything. Prices of vehicles have far outpaced wages and salaries of Americans. - The vehicles in the 25-35K range are actually selling. Because people can actually afford. - Toyota doesn’t know how to handle an inventory crisis. Many Tacomas and Tundras are showing 200+ days on lots. - Backlots are filled to the brim. - Dealers can’t even hide their inflated inventory levels. - Dealership employees are quitting… salesmen are leaving. No vehicle sales means minimal paychecks. - Stock values have come crumbling for auto makers… 50% for Stellantis… Toyota has seen a huge drop too. $250 per share back in March is now $175. - Dealers need to cut losses right now to earn customers… re-earn the loyalty they burned during the pandemic. - Too many dealers apply a near-sighted business model and refuse to look at the big picture. - Across the board, MSRPs continue to rise while quality diminishes. - Toyota wants to put out “throw away vehicles” 3-5 years cycles… vs 10-25 years - The dealers that charged markups are kicking themselves. - New average new vehicle price is $48,401 - MSRPs have gone up 42% since 2019 - Wages have gone up 34% since 2019 - Average auto loan monthly payment out on a new vehicle is $760… 1/6 auto loans are over $1000 per month… and 1/5 auto loans applied were denied last quarter. - Prices of rent, mortgage, insurance, groceries, etc have gone up in drastic ways too… rendering it nearly impossible for Americans to keep up. - Average 2 adult with 2-3 child household income needed to live comfortably now in the US is between 215-230K depending on region. Description: Dealerships showed their true colors during the pandemic... Now, when they need loyal customers most, we're no longer there. People fell betrayed by dealers during COVID, they charged markups left and right and couldn't care less about your years of loyalty to them. They went with the highest paying customer, every-time. To heck with the fact that you and your family have been buying from them for years. That no longer mattered and greed took over. Many dealerships are kicking themselves for turning their backs on you during those times. Instead of selling local, they'd sell to a rich person out of state and counted their dollar bills. Guess what though, those people out of state aren't ever coming back to them, especially when times are tough for dealers. I say all this because I often found myself demonizing the greedy dealer tactics deployed throughout the last few years. But the more I think about it, the more I find value in having them stick around. Sure, Tesla's direct to consumer purchase model sounds good, but is it realistic as the ONLY option? I'd say No. There is value in having the human element, the personal touch is vital for the longevity of business and building relationships. Why we are heading toward a bailout… Stats for the new folks: - Number of loans 30 days past due are the highest we’ve seen since the 08-09 recession… - Quality has gone down… prices have skyrocketed. - 42% growth in MSRPs since 2019 - Outsourcing to cheaper labor countries… - Insurance premiums have over doubled since 2023. 60% each year. - $48,405 average new vehicle price - $7200 average negative equity - $7236 average credit card debt - 23% growth in repos over last year - 7% New vehicles… 11% Used - $760 new vehicles payment… - $525 used vehicle payment - 1/6 auto loans over $1000 - 1/5 auto loans denied last quarter - Combine that all with economic uncertainty… - Ford’s F150 and Toyota’s Tacoma… best in-class selling pickups. - Ford F150… 550K-575K sales (47 consecutive years) - Silverado right behind 530-545K - Ram 440-460K Mentioned the negative equity being over $7200… - Dealers are largely to blame for the inflated auto loans out there. They took advantage of people during the pandemic. - People want to cut the needless dealers out of the equation. But they can’t. - No direct to consumer like Tesla… protected by state dealer franchise laws that regulate the sale of vehicles by requiring most vehicle sales to take place through franchised dealers. These laws aim to protect car dealers from unfair competition that could put them out of business. New vehicle pricing is out of touch with reality. Hence why we’re seeing so much inventory stacking up… dealers can’t sell. They’re turning away allocations and deliveries. Quick reminder of the last government bailout during 08-09 recession: - President Bush signed the bill into law creating a $700 billion dollar Treasury fund to purchase failing bank assets. - In the end, about $443 billion of the $700 billion authorized was actually used to bolster banks, automakers and giant insurance firms. - $17.4 billion to U.S. automakers GM and Chrysler. - Bailout means you and I pay for it… - Just like government subsidies on EVs… you and I pay for it. - Prices of vehicles have a direct impact on insurance premiums. Cost of repairs has gone up tremendously. - All these high trimmed vehicles with huge price tags cause an inflated insurance bill for all. - Average cost of car insurance in the United States is $2,543 per year for full coverage and $678 per year for minimum coverage. What’s good about a bailout: - keeps jobs in America -no mass layoffs - Helps Stabilize a volatile economy (although with an artificial stimulus) - Lessens the reliance on other countries for automobiles - Benefits shareholders… boosts stock price What’s bad about a bailout: - Rewards reckless behavior and poor planning - Taxpayers end up fitting the bill - Doesn’t teach greedy dealerships a lesson - Sets a precedent that businesses need not budget appropriately and plan for rainy days. Why I don’t want a bailout to happen: - It justifies greedy dealership tactics. - Dealers are acting as though inventory levels across the US aren’t growing at an alarming rate. - 120% since 2023. 3M new vehicles available… 2.2M used vehicles. - The economic turmoil that follows a bailout can be devastating. You and I ultimately pay for it as taxpayers. - Dealers should reap what they sow. - Reckless businesses shouldn’t receive special treatment… especially over American Families. Why I think a bailout will happen: - Trump is a huge advocate for keeping things made in America, by Americans. - He’ll go to great lengths to keep our automotive giants here. - Possible to apply added tarriff funds toward automaker rehabilitation - Tariffs wont increase pricing of cars much imo. - We as a country need to Lessen senior executive-level pay… all CEOs are paid enormous amounts of money. - GM CEO Mary Barra's total compensation $27.8 million… - Ford CEO Jim Farley $26.5M… - Stellantis CEO (now resigned) CEO Carlos Tavares $39.5M - For context that’s the same as employing 500 people at $79,000 per year. That’s not enough. 10-15% off a trucked overpriced by 40% doesn’t sit well with me. - It’s like a cruel joke was being played on us and when we all caught on and called them out, they just got worse. - Dealers are now relying on in-house financing and selling protection plans more than ever. The profit margins are lessening with the required discounts and rebates. - Dealers NEED to move the metal. - Inventory levels have grown at alarming rates… over 120% more than 2023. - 54% of EV owners are upside down. Think F150 Lightning markups… Hummer EV markups… Rivian. Tesla PLAD. - People are in tight spots with their current auto loans… thanks to pandemic lending: banks would lend 2021-22 would lend 150-170% LTV - 40% of people are upside down on their car loans. It’s rising fast. Up 9% between Q3 and Q4. - Tesla, Jeep and Kia owners are facing the highest negative equity levels right now. - Toyota Ford and Subaru are in the “best” positions. - Wholesale values plummeted in the last 2 quarters of 2024. Down 18% collectively… dealers can’t bank on wholesaling to save their butts. - Best time to buy: May-August. Away from tax season… new redesigned vehicle inventory levels will have populated lots. Old models worth even less. Away from “end of year sales”… away from tax write off purchase season. - Don’t let dealers bully you around. You drive the ship… they play games, take the 3 minutes to leave them a 1 star review and drive up the road to the next dealer. In today's video I peel back the layers of the car market onion and explain why things are much worse than advertised. Any auto manufacturer -to include Ford and GM, can be selective on which data points to hone in on and present it in a way that makes things look great. The car market is in shambles... inventory levels growing at unprecedented rates, price tags out of this world, and awful interest rates are all contributing factors. Points I discuss in this video include: No Car Market Crash after all? Ford and GM Report Record Sales in 2024 [WRONG] - CNBC headline - If my donut shop produced 250,000 more donuts than last year, my donut sales better have gone up... - We currently have 3M new vehicles available in the US, which is a 120% increase over the last 2.5 years. That growth rate is staggering… and telling. - 7% more vehicles were produced compared to 2023. - Collectively speaking, we had roughly 16% more vehicles available on dealership lots compared to 2023 thanks to carryover units or unsold 2023 units …yet sales for 2024 only rose 4%? - In total, we saw just under 16M total sales for US automakers. Thanks to 4th quarter sales where we saw 34% of annual sales happen…. Over a 3rd. - For context, normal for 4th quarter is 26-28% of annual sales… same with 1st quarter (tax season). Mid year quarters are less. Q2 and Q3. - Huge incentives and drastic discounts to move metal before 2025 units hit lots. - F150 gets 48th consecutive year of americas best selling pickup. - American legacy automakers General Motors and Ford Motor on Friday both reported their best annual U.S. new vehicle sales since 2019, led by growth of electrified vehicles such as all-electric and hybrid models. - Ford sold 2.08 million vehicles in 2024, up from almost 2 million in 2023. This is the highest annual sales number for Ford since before COVID. - In 2019, the automaker sold 2.42 million vehicles in the U.S. For the fourth quarter, Ford reported an 8.8% year-over-year increase in sales to 530,660 vehicles sold. - Fire Sales directed by Ford Corporate. - Ford saw 4.2% growth in sales over 2023. 2.08M units sold versus 2M units in 2023… 2.42M units in 2019. - GM reported 2024 sales of more than 2.7 million vehicles, up 4.3%. - GM sold 2.9 million units in 2019. - Stellantis, reported annual sales of roughly 1.3 million vehicles in 2024 – marking its worst year since 2010. … a 15% decline from 2023. - Any company can have victorious headlines… which data points can they hone in on and present in certain way. - It’s like Toyota bragging about the Tacoma being America’s best selling midsize pickup. - That tends to happen when they make over 200K more units than the nearest competitor. - Ford internal combustion engines increased 0.2% compared with 2023, while sales of electrified vehicles rose 38.3% year over year. - This is due to 0% financing, and HUGE discounts combined with tax credits and government subsidies. - Not to mention we had a staggering number of carryover units from 2023 to 2024 plaguing dealership lots. Ford was desperate to sell them. - I spoke with my local GM. Ford dealers make Nothing selling Mustang Mach Es and Lightnings. - Electrified vehicles, including hybrids and EVs, represented 13.7% of Ford's total annual sales. - Toyota reported a 3.7% uptick in sales for 2024, despite a 7.1% decline in December. The company sold more than 2.3 million vehicles last year. - Tesla saw a 1.1% drop… first annual drop since 2011. Not bad considering how many other manufacturers have entered into the EV space in recent years. - I encourage you to look deeper when you read headlines like that. Peel back the layers… - Sales are up because manufacturers produced a lot more vehicles compared to previous years, had a ton of carryover units from previous year, and offered unprecedented discounts in 2024. Like Tacoma and Tundra. - Ask yourself, If things are so good, why are we seeing so many auto manufacturers layoff thousands of employees and lessen production? - If things are so good, why is the stock price plummeting for so many of them? - If things are so good, why are we seeing so many dealerships decline allocations and turn away inventory? - If things are so good, why are manufacturers walking back their inflated MSRPs? - If things are so good, why are we seeing unprecedented “days on lot” figures for once popular nameplates? I talk through many details surrounding Chevy (GM), Ford, Nissan, Ram and Toyota in this video. Every vehicle manufacturer is struggling bad and is needing to get creative to make sales happen. Inventory levels are growing at a rapid rate, MSRPs are skyrocketing, interest rates are awful, insurance premiums are garbage... all of which are leading to poor truck sales across the board. Brand new Toyota Tundras are seeing 220-250 days on lots, Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500s are seeing 460+ days on lots which is insane! Dealers are getting desperate to move the inventory, especially as 2025 models are starting to hit lots. It's strange to see Toyota offer $10-12K off discounts PLUS incentivized interest rates just to sell their 2024 Toyota Tacomas and Tundras. Uncharted territory for Toyota. The Tundra is suffering from main crankshaft bearing issues and ultimately, engine failures... the Tacoma is suffering from major quality control issues and transmission failures. GM is offering their "standard" 1.9% interest rates plus 10-15K off MSRP discounts. Ram can't even give away their trucks right now. Over 25,000 units sitting on lots across the nation right now, which is wild. Nissan Titans are dwindling and so are Nissan Frontiers as the brand merges with Honda. The smaller, more affordable trucks are actually selling -like the Ford Maverick and Honda Ridgeline... Not because they're wildly popular but because they're affordable to most Americans. Trading in a car, truck or SUV right now doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The savings on buying Used need to be tremendous in order for it to be a consideration. Because others are getting the same deal. Kills the trade in and residuals. - National average for insurance is $2650. Full coverage, annual premium. $770 for minimum/liability coverage. - New market is over saturated… making Used values less desirable. - Over 3M new vehicles…. 2.25M Used available. - 18% drop in wholesale market - 1 in 7 car buyers can’t afford two auto loans over $500 per month at the same time. Handed off to a dealership or “sold” to a dealership isn’t the same as sold to a customer. It’s now the dealers burden. - Best time to buy in 2025 will be between May and Aug… tax season, new cheese, carryover unit pricing will need to be slashed, most people are splurging on their planned family vacations with school out, avoid “end of year deals, tax write off purchase season… the frozen middle timeframe where there is minimal action. Dealers get desperate. - Big discounts are happening now on vehicles that were previously marked up. - Examples: Ford F150 and Bronco Raptors, even Raptor Rs… TRD Trimmed Toyotas, Trailhunter trims, Ram TRX Final Editions seen as low as $108K… $17K off MSRP. Now they’re $112-115K. Mercedes G63AMGs G wagons… Cadillac Escalades. Escalade Vs. - Obviously many of these examples aren’t realistic for most folks but they do offer a clear indication of what the car market is doing. Kia Tellurides were often coming with markups between $5-10K. Now they’re discounted several thousand. - People are learning that in many cases, the inflated price tags of modern vehicles just simply isn’t worth it. - It’s worth keeping your older vehicle around. - A lot of folks feel as though their older vehicles are made to a higher quality standard too. - We see many auto manufacturers outsourced production to cheaper labor countries, while still hiking prices. The quality is no longer there. Tacoma… - Many dealers were losing money month to month in 2024… Nissan and Ford leading the pack. - Over 80 large franchise dealers closed their doors in 2024. Unprecedented amount of closures… their closure means they’ve struggled for more than a couple years. - The greedy dealers will go bankrupt. Between the consumer being fed up with their tactics and banks refusing to lend inflated loans, they’ll flounder. - Dealers are beginning to realize now that in order to stay afloat through 2025, they’ll need to cut their losses early on many models. - So stay patient, wait until May, June, July and August. - Don’t let any dealer haggle you, their inventory isn’t special -it’s just up the road a ways to see more of the same vehicle. - You don’t “have to finance through the dealership” you can pay cash or bring your own financing. - Refuse their bogus high priced protection plans and extended warranty options. They can be purchased for much cheaper while cutting out the needless middle man (aka the dealership). The car market is crashing in 2025, be ready to pounce when the time is right. People are saying No! - MSRPs have risen 42% across the board… some manufacturers seeing raises of over 50% (like Jeep) - Stellantis stock down over 50% since start of year - Stellantis ceo resigned just before giving a clean warning of what the car market is going up to be in 2025 - CFO at Nissan resigned - Nissan announced 9K layoffs worldwide - $760 average payment for new vehicle 525 for used - Financial anchors weighing people down - National average interest rates went down! - 7% in Nov… NEW / 11% USED - Insurance premiums are spurring out of control… over doubled in the last 2.5 years… - Every stat is screaming a warning of what’s ahead… - Interest rates are at 7% for new… 11.1% for used - Auto industry strikes are continuing at production line workers are being laid off - Stellantis is closing production plants and laying off 1000s of employees. - Nissan cutting 9000 jobs globally - Ford cutting over 4000 jobs globally - Volkswagen cutting 3000+ people this year… they’ve vowed to cut over 35K jobs by 2030. - Stellantis was going to cut over 1100 workers from their Toledo south assembly plant (where the Jeep wrangler is made)… but just reeled it back to 125 employees. - ALSO Impacting automotive parts production too.. - Michelins tire company to cut 1250 or more people… - Pell City auto parts plant in AL to cut 140 employees… - Automotive production layoffs in Detroit are leading the charge in Michigan’s quickly rising unemployment rate. - Dealers are becoming increasingly frustrated… MSRPs have risen tremendously over last 5 years. They can sell inventory. - Shareholders are becoming increasingly frustrated… no sales and misleading inventory vs sales reports. - On top of all that… quality have gone down! - BMW, Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen are beginning to crumble too. Strikes… huge hits to their profit margins. - People are no longer making car payments… first thing to go amongst all major bills is auto payments 23% increase - Which is why we’re seeing 1/5 auto loans get denied this last quarter; that’s going to get worse. - Wholesale sales dropped 18% over last quarter which is unprecedented. That will ripple to the retail market in the coming months… - Profit margins on vehicles have gotten out of hand… the price gap between MSRP and invoice has grown. - EV sales have come to a screeching halt… outside of Tesla. Rivian actually had the WORST performance stock this year. 55% loss in share price. - Followed by another EV company… Lucid with a 48% loss. - Mach E mustangs and F150 Lightnings are piling up unsold. Can’t even incentivize them enough to move the metal. - Inventory levels nearing 3M in the US. Highest growth rate emerge ever seen. 120% increase since 2023. - GM knows how to navigate times like this… nothing new. They actually saw the highest stock increase over 2024… 55% gain. - Good news is with very few exceptions, you find any markups right now. Unless the dealer is simply ignorant. - Toyota TRD Pro trims, Trailhunters, Ram TRXs, Ford F150 Raptors are discounted… G63 AMGs are MSRP and used examples are well below now. Civic Type Rs. - What does a crash in the auto industry actually look like?? - It isn’t what people dream of… giving cars away. A crash is a dealership cutting losses before they’re forced to close. That generally means 10-20% below invoice. - The dealers that refuse to do that will go belly up and have to turn back in their vehicles to the manufacturer. - Greed will literally be the death of many dealerships in 2025. - I don’t think Government bailouts aren’t coming so easily this time around. Insurance Premiums just SKYROCKETED! Description: Auto insurance premiums have been rising at an ALARMING RATE since 2019. This is due to several reasons -of which I talk through in this video. Trucks, cars, and SUVs have gotten completely unaffordable. People can't afford their monthly auto loan payments combined with the astronomical insurance premiums. Annual insurance premiums have doubled across the US over the last 3 years. In some states like California, Missouri, and Minnesota, the premiums were slated to see 50-60% price hikes year over year... which is totally insane. Here are the points I discuss in this video: - California fires covering over 45 square miles… taking the lives of some, consuming well over 1000 structures and displacing over 180,000. - My heart goes out to all those affected and offer sincere appreciation for the fire fighters risking their lives. - Natural disasters are often unpredictable and devastating for families. Which is why insurance is so important to have. - Unfortunately these events serve as opportunities for some bad actors to take advantage of the situation… whether it’s looting or committing insurance fraud. - Saw it with hurricanes… people often leaving their exotic cars outside to be struck by the storm. Or purposefully damaging their vehicle, claiming it was subject to the natural disaster. We’re seeing that with the palisades fire. - Not only does this impact CA insurance premiums moving forward, it impacts everyone nationwide. - We all pay the price for the insurance payouts… think of it as a big pot we pay into. - This last year we’ve since people really struggle financially… with the economy being in the gutter, and the effects of rapid inflation stinging people. - People can’t keep up with the price hikes: - — cost of living has gotten unbearable for a lot of Americans. - Rent, Mortgage, groceries, car and truck prices have skyrocketed ($48,405 being avg), loan rates have been awful 7-11%, auto loan payments are through the roof ($760 avg) and now insurance premiums have shot to the moon. - We are now seeing the highest level of 30, 60, 90-day auto loan delinquencies since the 08-09 recession. - People can’t afford their vehicles anymore. Let alone, their regular bills. Auto loans are the first thing people often default on. - Which is why Repo rates have shot up at an alarming rate this last year… 23% higher than last year. - Vehicles MSRPs have increased at an unprecedented growth rate too since 2029. 42% higher - Insurance has become the silent killer… it has over doubled in the last few years nationwide. - Higher trimmed vehicles are much more prevalent… huge costs to repair and replace. - Insurify report projected 50% growth rates in 3 states… California, Missouri and Minnesota. - This is auto insurance… home insurance just got much worse too!!
