Our YouTube channel features videos of our machines working in our fields. <video> Our Best Harvest Video - New Holland CR10.90 & CR9.80 Description: This video shows our New Holland CR10.90 and CR9.80 in our last wheat field of Harvest 2018. Our other New Holland CR9.80 was on another part of The Estate, finishing off some spring barley and oats. It would have been great to have all three together for this last harvest video but it just didn't work out. This is the earliest we have finished our harvest in a long time. This year we started on 19th July and finished on 2nd September. Apart from a week of bad weather in the middle, we've been enjoying blue skies and warm temperatures. Between our pair of New Holland CR9.80 combines and our New Holland CR10.90, we've cut 2,894 hectares (7,151 acres) of crop and brought in 18,792 tonnes of grain. As far as harvests go, the weather has been kind and the machines have performed well. We've certainly had a years that have been a lot tougher! Enjoy our last harvest 2018 video! Music is Sweet Adrenaline by Delicate Beats </video> <video> Harvesting Maize in February with a Case 5088 Axial Flow Combine Harvester Description: At Warter Priory Estate we plant large areas of maize to serve as cover crop and feed for our game birds. At the end of the shooting season we either combine or top these maize crops, depending on their condition, before ploughing and replanting for the following year. Our friends from M & D Kemp & Sons were kind enough to bring their Case 5088 Axial-Flow combine with their Case 6 Row header to help us with the maize that was worth combining. It is worth noting that the yield from this crop is particularly low, but any corn we do recover is dried and used as feed the following season. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro has a Hasselblad camera with a 1" sensor. For a drone of this size and price, the camera is amazing! All the clips in this video are straight off the camera on automatic settings. No colour grading has been done. We were combining one of our last fields of spring barley and it seemed like a good opportunity to test it. The combines featured in this video are the New Holland CR9.80 and the New Holland CR10.90. The music featured in this video is A Gentle Touch by Dan Phillipson </video> <video> World Record Holder - New Holland CR10.90 Description: Our brand new New Holland CR10.90 harvester with 12.5m (41ft) header. This is our second day out with this machine and so far it is doing an excellent job! On August 15th 2014, a New Holland CR10.90 managed to harvest a record breaking 797.656 tonnes of wheat in eight hours, shattering the previous record by over 120 tonnes. Being a record breaking combine helped us decide we had to have this machine on farm! Maybe we'll have an attempt at this record in the future... In this video we are harvesting our biggest field on The Estate. The field is called Huggate Heads and it is 145 acres in size. The crop is winter barley and the variety is Craft. The tractor leading the barley away is a New Holland T7.315HD. It is kindly with us on demo from Websters, who supplied us with our new combines. This tandem axle trailed crop sprayer is equipped with a 12,000 litre tank and a boom width of 40 metres, making it ideal for working efficiently on large fields. We are pulling this Dammann trailed sprayer with a Case Optum 300 tractor. In this video, we are applying liquid nitrogen to our crop of Oilseed Rape (Canola). This particular field is split into smaller trial blocks which is why there are breaks in the crop every so often. Our first impression of this machine is that it is a big improvement on the Challenger. It runs much smoother and quieter than our previous Challenger 775E. In this video we are cultivating the land with our Simba 6.6m Cultipress, just in front of our Case Quadtrac and drill. We are ploughing a stubble field that has been left over winter and are preparing it for sowing spring barley seed. We tried to get close to the furrows so you can see the soil being turned over. The music used in this video is Tenderness by Dan Phillipson. </video> <video> Epic Harvest - New Holland CR10.90, CR9.80, Baling and Chasing Description: In a race to get our wheat cut before a big storm, we have our New Holland CR9.80 and CR10.90 cutting together in a 340 acre block. Between them, we are cutting at over 30 acres an hour with very minimal losses. The conditions are dry and the straw is fit so we have the Massey Ferguson 4x4 baler right behind them. This is being pulled by our Case Optum 300. Tight behind the baler is our Big Bale Transtacker being pulled by the JCB Fastrac 4220. This 56 acre field is planted with the Motown variety of winter wheat. It yielded 4.78 tonnes to the acre. It is amazing to see how this team can clear a field so quickly. We would have had our other New Holland CR9.80 with them, but it was on another part of The Estate, finishing off the last of our Oilseed Rape. These two machines have performed very well in our combinable crops this season. The conditions have been tricky with lots of damp mornings and evenings. In this video we are harvesting a field of winter wheat. All the grain is tipped into our Interbenne 46 chaser bin and then transferred into our trailers to be transported back to our grain store. After 4 days of rain (about 35mm overall), this new Claas did not disappoint. We started with our 10 furrow Kverneland plough before trying our Vaderstad Topdown. This new Claas Axion 960 TerraTrac did an excellent job pulling both and was surprisingly light on the wet headlands. We would love to see one of these beasts added to our fleet one day! Is this better than the Case Rowtrac we normally use? It would be great to put them head-to-head one day and find out!
